Last, but certainly not least is our second post-baccalaureate student Audry Barnes. Give Audry a follow to see what happens in her year at UNL @artbyaudry or at audrybarnes.com

“Audry Barnes was born and raised on her family’s small midwestern farm in Atchison County, KS. She received her BFA in Ceramics with a minor in Art History in May of 2026 from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. With reflection of her formative years accompanied by object experience, Audrys work emerges in a multidisciplinary intersection of ceramics, poetry and painting. In summer of 2025 she was selected for the Chautauqua School of Art six week Residency Program in Chautauqua, New York. Following her residency, she returned to Chautauqua this summer as a teaching artist and studio technician. Her work has been included in the collections of The Nerman Museum of Contemporary Arts and exhibited nationally throughout the northeast and midwest. She currently resides in Lincoln, NE as a Post Bachelors student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.”

These have become subtle moves toward connection without calming certainty. An attempt to under evolve anxious empathy and move the body like a machine would wash laundry.

I had the opportunity to show both of these pieces in my final class group show in April and solo thesis show in May. They keep talking and teaching me more about them so I gave them some personal time before sharing to this ripple of the internet. by @artbyaudry

With much elation, you’re invited to my first solo exhibition, 𝘏𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘊𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺 an encapsulation of my time and work created over the past three and a half years here at The University of Arkansas.

𝘏𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘊𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺 will be held and celebrated at the George Dombeck Barn— 737 Spring Park Ln, Fayetteville Arkansas 72703, on May 1st from 6-9 pm.

If you’re coming to see and enjoy, it’s good to know a couple of things first— This address is taking you to George’s Art Center, NOT the barn. Once you leave the main road follow the ballon’s down the dirt road past the art center. Please drive slowly and respectfully on this road as it is a bit on the narrower side and people will be coming and going. There is limited parking so car pool if you can or be willing to take a little walk in the grass. 🫧

Delicious snacks and drinks are my gifts to you for the evening. I would love to see you there.✨🎉

@shanerichey thank you, your awesomeness shows in the time, commitment and big heart you have. could not have digitized anything w/o u. by @artbyaudry

this post has waited long enough, ive been too busy holding memories tight after a heartfelt residency at @chq.art

it was a true adventure where i met the most amazing people, i now hold much sweetness for them all. cheers to the reunion i hope to soon have.

six weeks seems long the first two weeks but by the time we were half way through i knew everything was going to move faster than i was ready for. i made a large ceramic walnut, lots of cups and more than a few paintings.

@erikabhess @rmw_studio @feoface you guys are amazing to work with, thank you for your presence.

we had impactful visiting faculty. a thriving tomato plant of knowledge was gifted by each of them, i’m carrying it now through my days in and out of the studio, do ya know?

hugs and happy tears to you peoples <3 taken in Chautauqua, New York by @artbyaudry
