The digital copy of my final black and white film photography project.

“Intersections” (2026)

The series explores the interactions, balance and tension of gender roles, artistry & strength in sports.

I experimented with the bulb exposure for the strangeness of some photos and for a few prints, they were exposed onto expired darkroom paper.

after 9 layers & hours (and hours) in the studio, my screen prints, “Adornment,” are done!!

This series explores my Chinese culture in relation to my identity, something I’ve never integrated into my work until now.

The first slide (from critique), top print is 1/6 and the bottom is a varied edition, 1/3.

🟩 How can design create pathways to housing for Indigenous youth? 🟩

On August 8, Design Week Calgary 2025 hosted Pathways for Indigenous Youth Housing—a collaborative design charrette presented by Lemay (@lemayonline) and the Urban Society for Aboriginal Youth (@usaycalgary).

Held at USAY’s new Youth Centre in Forest Lawn, the session brought together Indigenous youth, design professionals, community stakeholders, decision-makers, and potential funders. Guided by Grace Coulter-Sherlock of Lemay and LeeAnne Ireland of USAY, participants shared knowledge through dialogue and collaborative design activities, generating creative approaches to Indigenous youth housing.

The gathering highlighted how lived experience, cultural knowledge, and design expertise can come together to shape more holistic, responsive housing solutions in Calgary.

Thank you to Grace Coulter-Sherlock and LeeAnne Ireland for leading this conversation, to @lemayonline and @usaycalgary for presenting, and to everyone who contributed their voice to exploring what Indigenous youth housing can look like.
