The Bartender’s Pick: Dry Gin Martini

Vincenzo has been part of our team for the past six years, and if there’s one drink he knows inside out, it’s a good Dry Gin Martini.

Growing up in Napoli, gin has always been part of life for him, while the lemon twist brings a little taste of home.

Before moving to London in 2019, Vincenzo owned a restaurant in Urbino, a medieval town near San Marino. He later joined Raffles OWO as a Senior Bartender before finding his way to us.

His top tip for the perfect Martini? Stir it with ice cubes - it keeps the drink colder and helps control the dilution.

Scenes from last Friday night, celebrating the launch of Gin à la Mode, our latest cocktail collaboration with @seventyonegin.

For one month only, Artesian welcomes a limited-edition menu created with Seventy One Gin. Featuring their signature 71 Golden Martini alongside three reimagined classics from Head Bartender, @giuggifoca, and the Artesian team.

Seventy One Gin, created by fashion photographer @mertalas, brings a distinctly fashion-meets-spirits sensibility to the glass. Its botanicals are distilled individually before the spirit is aged in oak casks for 71 days, creating its signature golden hue and rich, complex character.

Gin à la Mode, now pouring at Artesian. Until 18th October.

Introducing The Bartender’s Pick. A monthly series getting to know the people behind the bar at Artesian.

Each month, we’ll introduce you to one of our bartenders, their story and the Artesian cocktail they most enjoy making.

First up: Efthymios. Originally from Volos, Greece, Efthymios has spent 13 years in the industry, primarily working across luxury hotels. He joined Artesian two and a half years ago as a bar person, moving into the lab manager role before becoming a supervisor.

His pick? The Espresso Martini. “For Greeks, coffee is important. It reminds me of home.”

He’ll have one at least three times a week. The key? 100% Arabica coffee, good-quality vodka and a glass chilled ice cold.

Monkey Shoulder x Artesian
