Grand Prize Women’s Face and OTA Face at The Legacy Ball-The Future Through Equity & Reparations as a 007 was such a blast and an honor🏆 I am so thankful for the teachers,legends,and icons for their dedication and incredible work guiding the community and ensuring that people have the proper recourses and recognition in the scene for expression and survival. The awards ceremony and statements was the exact beautiful reminder of how important ballroom is and how special it is to me. Thankful for the new friends and family cultivated throughout this trip.

Last night drenched in love and support as I step forward into 27 years on this earth.
A feast of roots and futures
For all my people are amazing cooks
My loved ones of many cultures gathered in one circle nourished with delicious food cheffed up
Ten bouquets and orchids gifted, bloomed and adorned with me.
So many kisses, my lipstick vanished
Wine poured, games played, the children ran
strangers becoming friends,
friends becoming family.
The spiritual and material bridged together in celebration.
27 is my year of the embodiment of growth, completion, and service. A 9 year of art as offering, of community as wealth.

I made a fruit spread as an altar
red, purple, and green grapes,
apricots dried like golden suns,
sprigs of rosemary,
blueberries, strawberries, cherries, and figs
Intentionally arranged on a black plate painted with flowers.

It tells the story abundance carried forward,
Love that deepens,
Wisdom preserved,
Creativity that blooms in the fertile void.

This platter of fruit,the cake adorned with peaches and marigold, the dinner spread along with the people surrounding me was a mirror of my life,
an offering to my ancestors,
and a feast for futures yet to come.

Thank you for feeding me,
for blooming with me,
Thank you for loving me
And for dancing this threshold into being
My love for you had no bounds by @artgaang

It’s not every day you’re featured in a book about the history of Ballroom ✨🏳️‍🌈

I’m incredibly grateful to author Michael Roberson ( @kingmaasai7 ) , Mikelle Street, and Designer & Photo Editor @timpalincreative for the opportunity, the feature, and the process that went into its creation.

Three years ago, I began a project called 100 Images of Ballroom—a visual journey capturing the essence of Mainstream, Mini, and Kiki Balls across Denver, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. The images selected for this feature highlight the distinct brilliance, power, and creativity that make Ballroom an iconic cultural force.

Most importantly, thank you to the Ballroom community for laying the foundation of so much of what makes us—and our culture—what it is today. Thank you for allowing me the honor of capturing you.

🌞🪷
What a gift to simply exist—
to be green with life and golden with knowing,
to be held by the earth and not rushed by the world.
Life has been astonishing, contradicting, but all around painfully gorgeous.
I’ve been present in the silent embraces
in the way the sun rests on my skin,
in the way my body breathes even when my mind is tired,
in the way someone lets me be myself in full.
Nervous system regulation.
I am grateful for every version of me that made it here. Everything and everyone that compiled and contributed to my becoming.
The experiences that keep me alive.
Love surrounds me in ways I don’t have to audition for. Thank you so so much 🥲 by @artgaang

A few months ago @whoisbeautyastria FaceTimed me out of a nap with this honorable surprise. Wheat pasting our shoot on a wall at 24th and Curtis.

Just so happens to be @juliandonaldson and I’s laboratory.

Months later I seen that it has weathered a bit and I hit up @miightydiiego to just maybe take some iPhone photos but then it turned into a whole set and film shoot. Winging it. Happy accidents. Even spilled the vino.

I am so blessed with this loving cultivation of creative , protective friends and collaborators.
