‼️ The AST 2026 Guidebook Cover is here... and it’s beautiful! @aarondegruyter designed and screen-printed this print for us. A little about the piece from Aaron:

“My inspiration includes elements of my childhood, my personal healing journey and the metamorphosis of the Tour. In my own blossoming, two elements stand out: a reconnection to my emotions (sky, clouds) and finding support (flowers). These elements ground me, rooting me in something larger than myself. Utilizing art to process where I fit in can feel isolating, but participating in the Tour connects me with artists and my community.”

SAVE THE DATE! We’re so excited to host Hope Hummingbird, Kate and Lauren for their group exhibition FORTRESS!

FORTRESS brings together three women artists considering a fundamental question: What might we create if we quit inheriting the old world and began imagining the next one?

Join us at our gallery at Canopy on October 2nd to view all new artwork spanning the mediums of ceramics, paintings, sculpture and found objects. Open Canopy is this Saturday & we’re selling some of the eclectic supplies and funky furniture we’ve acquired during a years’ worth of events!

Need a fuzzy red carpet? We got you!

A children’s climbing dome? Well duh!

And we have much much more like:

🕺🏽 Last weekend of Touch The Art! 🕺🏽

This exhibition was built by artists who trusted us with their work and their vision. It’s a joy to craft something accessible to visually impaired guests that’s also engaging for night parties and families in the daytime.

We’re grateful for everyone who showed up, including the artists, partners, students, families, and communities who made a space to explore art in a new way.

Didn't see this award coming: @austinchronicle has named our Touch the Art Experience "Austin's Best Art Gallery Transgression" and we're so grateful.

We took a chance and broke the rules in the name of accessibility within the arts.

What if we've been preventing ourselves from fully experiencing the art we love by only letting our eyes have fun?

What if a gallery tour was playful and silly and still educational?

What if we could guide artists out of their comfort zone to create tactile art that blind and visually impaired students would love?

This year we took all that energy and passion and moved into a much bigger space at Canopy where this exhibit can really shine. Shout out to the team who helped us pull off build and continues to help improve the space every day. Recognition like this, along with every single visitor, makes it worth it.

One day Touch the Art will find a permanent home, with year-round mentorships, workshops and accessibility training. We sincerely thank all of you for experiencing the journey with us and pushing one step closer to this goal.

Ready for a space disco show? 👽 🪩 Austin’s one-man-funk-band is bringing the grooves to Touch The Art!

@henryinvisible is taking over our gallery stage, bringing future funk grooves to send you on a dancing spree.

Your ticket includes the immersive exhibition and special performances by Henry and @trupicamusic.

Headed to Touch the Art? Here’s what you need to know about Austin’s most interactive art experience!

📍 Location: @artgalleryatx at @canopyaustin, 916 Springdale Rd, Bldg 2 #101 (free parking!)
🕓 Hours: Wed–Fri 5–9pm, Sat 11am–8pm, Sun 11am–7pm
🎟️ Tickets are $24 for ages 13+ and $15 for children ages 4–12
🍹 Your tickets include a complimentary beverage upon arrival—sip your drink as you wander the space
👋 Walk-ups are welcome, but we recommend booking your time-slot in advance to avoid any waiting—time-slots fill up fast
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 We are completely family-friendly and all ages are welcome, just remember to use a gentle touch
📸 Photos and videos are highly encouraged (tag us so we can see your POV!)
🕰️ Give yourself an hour to fully explore (we have 150+ artworks from 83 artists, including collaborations with the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired!)
♿ Our venue is wheelchair accessible. Tip: park near the ramp at the Canopy’s front entrance for easy access
🐕 No pets please, aside from trained service animals
🦯 Guests with low vision: ask front desk for navigation assistance to get the full experience
📖 We have Braille guides and art labels
🎧 Tap your phone to our audio tags to hear the artist describe their work and inspirations
🤝 You can navigate blindfolded with the help of a friend, or ask one of our staff to guide you
🎁 Looking for the perfect present? Gift cards are available—DM us to grab one or book private rentals/tours

🌡️ It’s fully air-conditioned inside, making it the perfect weekend escape from the Texas heat
