Organ Night has a new home! We are so excited to welcome the Organ Night community to Fox and Firkin for an end of the year residency.

We will set up in the round and won't use the PA, so the sound you hear will be from the instruments themselves.

Tickets available via The Fox & Firkin website 🎟️ by @artiezaitz

Big week ahead, starting TONIGHT @brunswick_house !

Banger Factory Records presents:
Artie Zaitz Hammond 3io

Looking forward to bringing the traditinal hammond trio format comprising of organ, guitar & drums, back down to the historic and illustrious Brunswick House cellars in Vauxhall, where I’ll be hosting the proceedings featuring a special guest every week! Expect soul-jazz, blues, funk and latin blends in full analogue glory within an intimate setting. I’ll be back behind my beloved 1961 Hammond C-3 affectionately now known by many as ‘Big Bertha’.

This week featuring:
yours truly - hammond organ
Jake ‘the Snake’ Zaitz - guitar
Darren Beckett - drums
+ special guest: Theo Erskine - tenor sax

A guitar prodigy and true jazz scene veteran in his thirties, Artie Zaitz leads a group of London’s most grooving, swinging musicians.

They’ll perform material from his critically acclaimed debut album, ‘The Regulator’ - an exciting, fresh take on the classic Hammond organ combo, blending his deep blues sensibility with his love of jazz, soul, and Latin music.

We’ve been having an absolute ball mixing up the Tuesday night residency in the cellars @brunswick_house in Vauxhall these past weeks, whilst brother and maestro @markkavuma has been on hiatus touring with a big name celebrity …

Here are a couple scenes from last week’s performance of my new tune ‘Village People’ - swipe away for an absolutely burning solo by the incredible @jakeshermanwooo on ‘Big Bertha’ the Hammond, whom we’ve been so fortunate to be able to host at a couple of our recent sessions and hope to collaborate with again very soon!

Thanks to all that have been coming down to support and to all the monster musicians that have been involved so far :)

This week, we are once again lucky to have yet another giant of the local and international scene guesting with us, on what he affectionately calls ‘The Sludgepump’ or ‘Golden Handbrake’ aka Baritone Sax - the wonderful Mr Alex Garnett @tennorist ! I shall be returning to the organ bench for the first time this year, only to get my ass kicked by my beloved Bertha as I’ve almost forgotten what that sensation feels like hehe! Expect some esoteric grooves …

If you haven’t been down before, please join us - and if you haven’t yet had the pleasure of dining upstairs at the restaurant, I highly recommend you treat yourselves to a night out as the food is sublime and divine to say the least ;)

I believe this to be the only true Hammond Organ night going regularly in London atm, which is very dear to my heart to be able to keep that sound alive. Occasionally we also welcome and encourage the next generation of players to sit in with us, so it’s an all around experience to behold.

FREE ENTRY with sets at 7:30 and 9pm, every Tuesday.
