🫶🏻 ARTISAN IS 4 TODAY!

Four years… what a journey it’s been.

What started with an idea, passion and a willingness to work bloody hard has grown into something we are incredibly proud of.

It definitely hasn’t been easy — long days, sleepless nights, mistakes, lessons, rising costs and this year even a fire that forced us to close our doors for a while.

But we came back. And we’re still here, stronger than ever. And ready to expand 🤫❤️

A massive THANK YOU to every member of staff, past and present, our suppliers, friends and family — and most importantly, YOU, our customers.

Some of you have supported us since day one, and without you there simply wouldn’t be an Artisan.

Meet your Monochrome Monday 2027 chefs 🖤🤍

Familiar faces, a new addition and a shared passion for supporting mental health in hospitality.

On Monday 18th January, this talented team will come together at East Afton Farmhouse, each creating a course inspired by a different continent. A menu that reflects the global reach of The Burnt Chef Project, brought to life right here on the Isle of Wight.

The chefs are busy developing their dishes, but swipe through to see who’s cooking each course and which continent will inspire them. A huge thank you to every chef giving their time, skills and creativity to make this evening happen.

Our first Monochrome Monday raised over £12,000. We’re proud to be bringing everyone together again for 2027.

🏋️ A gym that overlooks Cowes Harbour? It doesn't get much better than that. You might walk straight past this one without noticing it, hidden inside The Pinnacle Suites boutique hotel. But they welcome everyone, not just hotel guests. Watch the boats whilst you weight lift, or head to the cafe for a post workout coffee
🛶 Sir Max Aitken Museum, celebrating the heritage of yachting in Cowes. Displaying an impressive private collection of maritime history; take a look inside next time you're passing or did you know you can even book the venue for events?

When I tell you this is THE best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. We visited @artisancafe_ two years ago on our way home from Isle of Wight and have been waiting to go back since. It tasted just as good as it did two years ago! This cafe is right next to the ferry port in East Cowes so is a great stop on your way onto or off the island. A must visit!!

MEET THE MAN BEHIND THE SEEN— LEON

A lot of what happens in our kitchen goes unseen, so we thought it was time to introduce one of the people behind the scenes.

Our Head Chef Leon is the man behind so many of the specials that keep appearing on our board.

From coming up with new ideas and playing with flavours, to turning them into dishes that land on your table — Leon puts a huge amount of creativity, passion and hard work into what comes out of the Artisan Cafe kitchen.

While the front of house gets to see all your reactions and attention Leon and the kitchen team are behind the scenes making the magic happen. ❤️

So next time you try one of our specials and think “bloody hell, that’s good!” — there’s a very good chance Leon had something to do with it. 😂

🍯 There’s something special about knowing exactly where your food comes from and you know that Artisan Cafe, we’re passionate about supporting local producers who genuinely care about what they create.

That’s why we’re proud to have two beautiful local Isle of Wight honeys now available on our counter.

Although both are produced right here on the island, they come from different locations and are made by two independent beekeepers. The flowers the bees forage on, the surrounding landscape, and the seasons all influence the flavour, making each jar completely unique.

There are no shortcuts, no mass production—just pure, raw honey crafted with passion, patience, and respect for nature. 🐝🍯

When you pick up a jar, you’re not only taking home incredible honey, you’re supporting local families, local beekeepers, and helping to keep traditional craftsmanship alive.

And this is only the beginning…

Over the coming weeks we’ll be introducing more carefully selected local produce to Artisan Cafe, because we believe our shelves should showcase the very best our island has to offer.

❤️ WE’RE REOPENING THIS SATURDAY! ❤️

Just two weeks ago, something happened that none of us ever expected – a fire at Artisan Cafe. While it was a difficult and emotional time, the most important thing is that nobody was hurt.

Since then, we’ve worked incredibly hard to bring the cafe back to life, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of so many amazing people. To everyone who helped us clean, rebuild, fix, organise, or simply sent kind messages and checked in on us – thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your support has meant more than you’ll ever know.

We’re so excited to announce that Artisan Cafe will reopen this Saturday from 8:00am!
