So. The exhibition is hanging in my lovely airy bright 'gallery' space which I take each year in Whites of Wexford. I am feeling relaxed now. The work is done and I will spend the next 15 days meeting art - and opera - lovers from all over the world. In my element.

Not quite the smallest painting, this is one of my new Precious Bowls. Inspired by this year's festival theme - One for the Head, One for the Heart...and One for Fun.

This one is definitely FUN🎉 taken in Whites of Wexford Hotel Ireland by @artmarywallace

My precious Magnolia Grandiflora is excelling itself this year. I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful its perfume - so delicate yet fragrant.
Every blossom is a gift I watch for eagerly as soon as I see the bud appear. And I have painted one too 🤍🤍🤍 taken in Wexford, Ireland by @artmarywallace

I will reveal all very soon...with my upcoming exhibitions in Whites of Wexford and The Makers House ( Wexford Festival Opera 15-31 October and Wexford Fringe ) quickly followed by Art Source in the RDS ( 13-15 November) coming so close. I have been working hard on my new collections and can't wait to show you.

Watch closely over the next few days as I will tease you with a few sneaky peaks at my new work. Exciting!

This, believe it or not is the second of two large deliveries of framing! Yes! Whoever put this package together certainly has a creative streak😂

What a magical experience we had in The Makers House last Saturday. As young families arrived to take part in MAKE! - an opportunity to explore various art and craft activities.

Our own Mary Wallace and Mairead Stafford led workshops using sustainable materials in combination with wax and paint, a variety of techniques were explored including collage and wax rubbings on surface textures.

Dolores and Ann from Access 2000 brought a huge stash of colourful wools and taught the children how to knit.

They were fascinated watching Karen from Woolly Magic as she crocheted her equally colourful wools.

Anne brought a slab of clay and showed the children how to make a slip and build coil structures. Messy and satisfying.

Two young harpists, both called Mary, had the children mesmerised by the alluring sounds of their harp. They encouraged the children to touch the strings and play.

There were some curious looking instruments from Persia on display as well.

Thanks to Laura Larkin of The Stone Sessions for organising this fantastic event. Make sure to check out the brochure for the Autumn/ Winter series of free events countywide. taken in The Makers House Wexford by @artmarywallace
