I have nothing against practical, CGI, or ai FX work- all I care about is the result. I think the best effect comes from using all of them together and that’s what I just tested.

The physics of feathers always come off as fake so that’s the one thing I was sure to include in our real world tests, happy with the result of the reflective black pauldron. (Even more so knowing I won’t need to deal with their weight/cost on set)

Since childhood I’ve dreamt of making Jarkaar a real place and am now closer than ever- I envisioned the films being indecipherable from reality. Real people jumping on real birds, real battles, not one single shot that looks cgi. I was adamant on real locations before Nolan’s ‘Odyssey’ made it trendy again.

My background of 6+ years of unreal and photoshop is helping in this new technological milestone.

Also I know the far background still looks a bit fake because it’s based off the painting/photoshops I made for the art novel and out of unreal engine- I’m currently growing and building a mini Cain to have a practical playground like they did with Lord of the Rings’s massive cities.

‘Jesters’ is now out on amazon, your support/shares will help make the film or tv series adaptation happen sooner than later :)

The world of ‘Last Archangel’ is intended for mature audiences, akin to Game of Thrones.

Three creatives. Three roles. One vision.

Deanne Bray — Director & Producer @deannebraykotsur
Troy Kotsur — Executive Producer & Storyteller @troykotsur
Austin — Director of Photography/colorist @artofthestory

From wherever we are, we come together to shape the story, frame by frame. Filmmaking doesn’t always happen in the same room—it happens through trust, collaboration, and a shared vision.

Now we’re watching The Eye come to life in its final form.

Currently in the festival run!

The day I predicted has finally arrived, here’s a scene test from ‘Jesters’ (now available on Amazon)

Reference shot has no stabilization- filmed with the 22mm Lomo OCT 19 (made for 16mm) on red Komodo by @illestdmc_

This was a extreme light change and intentionally so because we’re checking to see how far off you can stray before it starts to look bad

Testing the limits of Seedance 2.5 with a trailer from Jesters, now available on Amazon!

Reference images and videos were all pulled from my real world camera tests and novel artwork. I spent half a year using photoshop with unreal engine/photography/light ai post processing to make the art for Jesters.

Some of these shots were guided more precisely with new photoshops

This was an experiment that confirmed my hypothesis that video ai has finally passed the realism test but with one catch- only if you feed it actual real world imagery so that’s why my character and other actors looks photoreal and the hawks aren’t on that level yet because I have not filmed actual raptors yet.

It was an absolute joy filming all the archangel tests over the years and I’ve sat on the footage waiting for ai to catch up before diving into fx. This is only the beginning.

Thank you to all the incredible actors

Happy birthday to the greatest sister and human being in the world. If describing you to someone I’d say Kelsey has a soul like Mother Theresa or Gandhi.

Passionately spreading kindness and love through whatever means possible. Thank you for your continued work of setting the best example for us. I love you beyond words and am so grateful.
