Reality vs. Imaginary.
@artofthestory

What happens in the end?

What would it look like if you could pause the moment—right before the story changes?

What is the real ending… and what is only imagined?

Every image has its own story.
Every moment can have a different ending.

Reality or imagination?

You decide which story to believe. 😁

Three creatives. Three roles. One vision.

Deanne Bray — Director & Producer @deannebraykotsur
Troy Kotsur — Executive Producer & Storyteller @troykotsur
Austin — Director of Photography/colorist @artofthestory

From wherever we are, we come together to shape the story, frame by frame. Filmmaking doesn’t always happen in the same room—it happens through trust, collaboration, and a shared vision.

Now we’re watching The Eye come to life in its final form.

Currently in the festival run!

The day I predicted has finally arrived, here’s a scene test from ‘Jesters’ (now available on Amazon)

Reference shot has no stabilization- filmed with the 22mm Lomo OCT 19 (made for 16mm) on red Komodo by @illestdmc_

This was a extreme light change and intentionally so because we’re checking to see how far off you can stray before it starts to look bad

Stella, our film set dog for The Eye. In Canada, where I filmed with Sue Thomas: FBEye, the crew had dogs. You’d see a few with the wardrobe department and a dog school bus comes by to take them to the park! Our Stella films with us at 5 AM video credit: Austin Chapman #dogsofinstagram #dog #filmmakers #dogsonset

Filming ‘The Eye’ was a career milestone- a dream come true.

Deanne was one of the best directors I’ve worked with- extremely well prepared and brilliant. Her background as a professional actor shined every time I saw her working with the cast.

Troy of course blew our minds with his deep understanding of visual storytelling and writing. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him win another oscar for his work behind the camera.

To the rest of the cast and crew- I can’t thank you enough for carrying out Deanne and Troy’s vision from paper to screen- I loved working with each one of you 🤟

Using the RED Komodo we shot most of this on my self-rehoused lomo 28mm g21 (a super 35 Soviet Union lens from 1970s)
