One members' exhibition, one solo show, one afternoon of celebration! Join us for the November Reception as we open the members' exhibition 'Small Works 2026,' and Amanda (Andi) Pickler's solo show 'Drinks on Me.'

In the East Gallery, Small Works 2026 brings together artworks of diverse themes, united by their minuscule proportions (all artworks measure ten inches or smaller). These small, unique artworks make wonderful holiday gifts, with many of them listed for sale. Expect a finely crafted wooden bowl inspired by a UFO ship, a tiny handwoven purse, and many other teeny treasures you'll adore.

In the West Gallery, Andi Pickler's solo exhibition 'Drinks on Me' features jewel-toned paintings and detailed prints depicting the artist's travels across the country to lesbian and queer bars. Snapshots in time capture the joy these spaces offer to a community facing significant challenges and threats.

November Reception: Saturday, November 14, 2 - 5 PM
ArtsWorcester // 44 Portland Street, Worcester MA // Free entry
🍻 Afterparty at @femmebarworcester (starting at 5:00 PM) where we'll continue the celebration!

Small Works 2026 and Amanda (Andi) Pickler: Drinks on Me will be on view November 12 - December 13 during gallery hours: WED - SUN, 12 PM - 5 PM. On December 10, ArtsWorcester will be open until 7 PM for late night hours. Gallery hours are open and free to all.

Join us in welcoming our newest cohort of Future Arts Workers! 🎉
ArtsWorcester's Future Arts Workers (FAW) program is a paid apprenticeship for select @worcesterschools high school students, and teaches basics of arts administration: project planning, budgeting, marketing, production, installation, and much more.

These students will learn all the skills they'll need to complete their capstone project: a complete exhibition at ArtsWorcester, from start to finish, with a theme of their own selection. Artwork will be submitted by ArtsWorcester artist members, and juried by the FAW.

This year's cohort:
Alani Williams, South High Community School
Annya Griffith, Claremont Academy
Beatriz Heringer, South High Community School
Dahlia Guzman, Doherty Memorial High School
Grace Johnsen, Worcester Technical High School
Jewel Onekana, North High School
Julie Benouaich, South High Community School
Koko Lim, Worcester Technical High School
Lucy Lasell, Burncoat High School
Marion Zziwa, South High Community School
Martin Grandon, South High Community School
Noelyanie Vega, South High Community School

Throughout the program, these students will meet young professionals in other arts and cultural organizations across the city (they've already had the pleasure and privilege of meeting friends at @americanantiquarian!) They'll grow their skillsets, and strengthen their professional networks, too -- all leading up to a their full-scale ArtsWorcester exhibition in May 2027.

Artist members, stay tuned! You can expect the FAW's call for art to go live next month, in November 2026.

Anne Harris describes her artistic practice as a relationship with the natural world and its animal inhabitants. For her Material Needs installation, she worked with and alongside black vultures at the Blue Hills Trailside Museum in Milton, paying careful attention to the spontaneous movements and feelings of the birds as she created works memorializing their time together.

Anne was one of seven artists who received a Material Needs grant to support her cost of supplies. See work by Anne, Ben Cline, Jennifer Davis Carey, Kristi DiSalle, Kate Egnaczak, Claudio Eshun, Anne Harris, and Sheila Papetti at ArtsWorcester (44 Portland Street, Worcester) through October 25.

Public gallery hours run WED - SUN, 12pm - 5pm, and are always free and open to all. ArtsWorcester will be open October 15 until 7 PM for late night hours.

Earlier this month, we had the great pleasure of presenting Marlene Perksy with the 44th ArtsWorcester Award for her decades of illuminative contributions to arts and culture in the City.

We thank all who joined us that evening to celebrate Marlene, and extend our gratitude to Kat O’Connor, Susan Stoops, James Welu, Emily Holdstein, and Bill Wallace for sharing their own accounts of how Marlene has undoubtedly elevated the profile of contemporary art in Worcester (and beyond) with her volunteer service, dedication, style, wit and friendship.

Another successful @prideworcester Festival in the books! 🏳️‍🌈

We extend our gratitude to the artist members that brought us 629 artworks -- including digital art prints, photographs, original paintings, necklaces, buttons, worm bookmarks, stickers, books, and more -- to fill the table with one-of-a-kind finds. We also thank those who purchased something from our table and supported local LGBTQIA+ artists in the process.

A monumental thank-you to our artist members who volunteered to lend a hand at the event:
