8 Things You Should Know About Doctor Doom Before Watching Avengers: Doomsday👇

(Read the whole caption get all the facts)

Doctor Doom is not just Marvel’s next villain. Many comic fans consider him the greatest villain Marvel has ever created.

Victor von Doom is both a genius scientist and a master sorcerer, making him one of the most powerful minds in Marvel. Unlike most villains, he rules the nation of Latveria as its king. To his people, he is a protector. To the rest of the world, his desire for complete control makes him a tyrant.

One of his greatest inventions is the Doombot, a robotic copy so convincing that heroes often think they have defeated Doom, only to discover the real one was never there.

His greatest rivalry is with Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four. Their battle is driven by Doom’s obsession with proving he is the superior genius.

Over the years, Doom has defeated the Avengers, stolen immense cosmic power, killed Thanos during Secret Wars, and ruled the Marvel Multiverse as God Emperor Doom.

The most dangerous thing about Doom is not his power. It is his belief that he is right. He genuinely believes the world would be safer under his rule.

Marvel has confirmed that Robert Downey Jr. will return as Victor von Doom, but they have not revealed how. Some believe he will play the original Doom, while others think he could be a Tony Stark variant whose brilliance takes a darker path.

Whatever Marvel has planned, one thing is certain. Avengers: Doomsday is about to introduce one of the most iconic villains in comic book history.

Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man worked so well because Tony Stark was never written as a perfect hero.

When we first meet Tony, he’s arrogant, reckless and making enormous amounts of money selling weapons without seriously confronting what those weapons do once they leave his hands.

Then he gets captured.

For the first time, Tony sees the consequences of his own work directly in front of him.

And that experience creates Iron Man.

But what makes RDJ’s version special is that Tony doesn’t suddenly become a completely different person.

He still makes mistakes.

His ego creates problems.

His fear of another alien invasion contributes to the creation of Ultron.

His guilt helps tear the Avengers apart.

And his obsession with protecting everyone repeatedly damages the relationships closest to him.

Yet underneath all of it, Tony keeps trying to become better.

That’s why his final moment in Endgame completes his story so perfectly.

The man who once seemed incapable of putting anyone before himself looks at an army threatening the universe, takes the Infinity Stones and accepts exactly what using them will cost him.

Then he repeats the words that started everything:

“I am Iron Man.”

RDJ didn’t make Tony Stark compelling because he played a perfect superhero.

He made him compelling because we watched an imperfect man spend eleven years becoming one. by @arventique

Avengers: Doomsday could begin with the multiverse finally collapsing.

Incursions are destroying entire realities, and the Avengers realize everything involving the multiverse has brought existence dangerously close to extinction.

Then Victor von Doom appears.

But Doom doesn’t arrive as a villain.

He arrives with a solution.

Doom has already watched his own universe die. Science couldn’t save it. Magic couldn’t save it. Even manipulating time failed.

Eventually, Doom discovers a brutal truth: not every universe can survive.

His solution is to take pieces of dying universes and combine them into one reality.

One world.

Under one ruler.

Himself.

The Avengers try stopping him, but Doom asks them one terrifying question:

“If you stop me, how will you save everyone?”

They have no answer.

Things become even more disturbing when Doom removes his mask.

He has the face of Tony Stark.

He’s not Tony, but the Avengers are forced to fight someone who looks exactly like the man who sacrificed himself to defeat Thanos.

Thor especially struggles with it.

But Doom doesn’t care about their emotional attachment to another version of his face.

Eventually, Doom gains enough power to execute his plan.

The Avengers fight him.

And lose.

Reality collapses.

But instead of complete darkness, several heroes suddenly awaken somewhere unfamiliar.

The Avengers exist.

The Fantastic Four exist.

The X Men exist.

Heroes from completely different universes now share the same world.

They slowly realize the horrifying truth.

Their universes are gone.

Doom took the surviving pieces and created one enormous patchwork reality from their remains.

The camera travels across this new world before revealing Doom sitting above it.

Not simply Doctor Doom anymore.

God Emperor Doom.

He looks down upon the reality he created and says:

“You called me a monster.”

“Yet I saved everything.”

Cut to black.

The reason old books have that distinctive smell is actually chemistry happening in slow motion.

Paper contains compounds such as cellulose and lignin that gradually break down as a book ages.

As they decompose, they release tiny amounts of volatile organic compounds into the air.

Some of those molecules produce scents people describe as vanilla-like, grassy, almond-like or slightly sweet.

That means when you walk into an old library and immediately recognize that familiar smell, you’re detecting the chemical products of thousands of pages slowly aging around you.

Temperature, humidity, the type of paper and even how a book was manufactured can change the exact smell it develops.

Researchers have even studied these compounds because they can provide clues about how badly historical books and documents are deteriorating.

So that strangely comforting “old book smell” isn’t something publishers intentionally added.

Clavicular seemed to appear everywhere on the internet almost overnight.

His real name is Braden Peters, a 20-year-old streamer who built his identity around “looksmaxxing”, the online movement focused on maximizing physical attractiveness. Even his name comes from the clavicle, or collarbone, a feature heavily discussed in looksmaxxing communities.

But looksmaxxing alone doesn’t explain how quickly he exploded.

Clavicular turned his entire life into content.

His appearance, dating life, cosmetic procedures, extreme self-improvement methods, arguments and controversies all became material for hours-long livestreams. Those streams could then be cut into hundreds of short clips by other accounts.

And that clipping machine became enormous.

According to data reported by Bloomberg and subsequently cited in coverage, roughly 70,000 clips involving his content generated around 2.2 billion views across short-form platforms between March and April 2026 alone.

That meant you didn’t even have to follow Clavicular to constantly encounter him.

TikTok and Instagram could introduce him to millions of people through clips they never searched for.

His increasingly controversial behavior brought even more attention, eventually pushing him far beyond the niche community where he started.

Clavicular didn’t just understand how to go viral.

He became the raw material for thousands of other people to go viral with him. by @arventique

The little bumps on the “F” and “J” keys of your keyboard are there so you can find your hand position without looking down.

They’re called homing bars.

In touch typing, your index fingers naturally rest on F and J while the rest of your fingers sit across the middle row of the keyboard.

Those tiny raised lines allow your fingertips to recognize exactly where they are.

Once your index fingers find F and J, your brain can estimate the location of almost every other key from that starting position.

It’s a tiny design feature most people use for years without ever thinking about why it exists.

And similar tactile markers appear in other everyday objects.

For example, many telephone keypads have a raised marker on the number 5, helping people orient their fingers without relying entirely on sight.

The interesting part is that these bumps aren’t really designed for your eyes at all.

They’re physical landmarks designed specifically for your fingers.

Sometimes the smallest details on everyday objects exist because someone already thought about a problem you barely notice. by @arventique

The Boys universe is terrifying because superheroes aren’t the exception to society. They’re an industry.

Vought didn’t simply create Homelander.

For decades, Compound V has produced generations of Supes, turning superpowers into something that can be manufactured, marketed and controlled.

That gave us The Seven, where heroes like Homelander, A-Train and The Deep became celebrities almost as much as superheroes.

But the universe goes much deeper.

Gen V revealed Godolkin University, where young Supes compete for rankings, sponsorships and eventually careers while Vought quietly experiments on people beneath the campus.

Diabolical explored even stranger corners of the world.

And Vought Rising takes the story backwards, exploring the earlier history of Vought through characters including Soldier Boy and Stormfront.

That’s what makes this universe different from Marvel or DC.

Superpowers don’t automatically make someone a hero.

They create opportunities for corporations, governments, celebrities and ordinary people to become even more powerful.

Some Supes genuinely want to help.

Some want fame.

Some want control.

And some, like Homelander, become terrifying examples of what happens when enormous power is combined with almost no meaningful accountability.

The scary part of The Boys was never that superheroes could exist.

It’s imagining what our world would actually do with them. by @arventique

Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man movies become even more interesting when you realize Tobey Maguire and James Franco weren’t strangers who simply met on set.

The two were already friends before Spider-Man began filming, and that real familiarity helped sell Peter Parker and Harry Osborn’s friendship across the trilogy.

On screen, though, Raimi slowly turns that friendship into one of the most tragic relationships in the series.

Peter and Harry begin as best friends who genuinely care about each other. But Norman Osborn’s death changes everything. Harry becomes convinced Spider-Man murdered his father, never realizing that the person he’s hunting is Peter.

By Spider-Man 3, years of grief, jealousy and secrets finally push the two into becoming enemies. Yet Harry ultimately discovers the truth and chooses Peter over revenge, helping him save MJ and sacrificing himself in the process.

That’s what made Raimi’s trilogy work beyond the superhero action. Peter wasn’t only losing battles against villains.

Sometimes becoming Spider-Man meant slowly losing the people closest to him. by @arventique
