I love it when dreams come true.

Making music and recording with the greats George Cables, Billy Hart, Omer Avital and Joe Magnarelli. My all time favorite musicians and people. My heroes

Coming out soon on #Jojorecords

I'm beyoned excited and so thankful.
still on the clouds and can't wait to share the music with you all.

These are such crazy times in our human history and I hope we put some light in to the universe.

** New Moon Tonight**

And my album 'In light of a new moon' just released last week.

Some traditions see the light of the new moon as a quiet seed time when you set intentions that will grow in the dark.

Then, as the crescent appears, those inner plans start catching light, slowly becoming visible.

It's less a light you see and more a light you sense.

Give it a listen and let me know how you're feeling about it

𝗜𝗡 𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗔 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗠𝗢𝗢𝗡 by Asaf Yuria is out today!

Five years after Exorcisms, our dearest JOJO RECORDS family member and sax player extraordinaire is back. It's already his 3rd appearance on our label (including his wonderful participation in Simon Belelty's Pee Wee).
"I'd been dreaming about this record for more than a decade," he says. It took these amazing players two days at the iconic Van Gelder Studio to make it real.

It's an even greater honor to hear him surrounded by the musicians who shaped him as musician, some of them once his teachers, now his bandmates:

George Cables – piano
Omer Avital – double bass
Billy Hart – drums
Guest Joe Magnarelli – trumpet

We can't wait for you to discover these 7 pieces moving from hard bop to blues to ballads, with music by John Hicks, Hank Mobley, Jimmy Van Heusen, Dizzy Gillespie, two George Cables compositions and one Asaf original. Featuring two unforgettable duets with the one and only George Cables.

The light is everywhere for this special day ☀️
