Traditional kaiseki, is something still incredibly rare to find in Los Angeles. Most people are familiar with omakase, but kaiseki offers something entirely different, a seasonal multi course journey that is less about just eating and more about experiencing a story through food.

Tucked away in Los Angeles, Asakura is an intimate, reservation only experience that feels more like a private performance than a dinner.

Led by Chef Makoto Okamoto, also the owner of La Bombance, each course reflects seasonality, precision, and artistry. Expect a thoughtful progression of dishes that highlight the best of both Japan and California, from delicate traditional preparations to luxurious ingredients like A5 wagyu and truffles.

With limited seating and a quiet immersive setting, this is not just dinner, it is a guided culinary journey where every detail is intentional and every plate tells a story.

【How to make】
① Prepare sencha or bancha leaves
② Heat a pan over medium, then turn to low and add the leaves
③ Keep shaking the pan for 10–15 minutes so they don't burn
④ Done when the leaves turn brown and smell toasty
⑤ Spread out to cool, then store in an airtight container
