Happy International Chef Day to the culinary talent that makes our industry shine! Today we’re celebrating our chef members. The culinary professionals turning menus into memories, plating hundreds of perfect bites at once, and reinventing what catering can be, event after event. We’re proud to call you ICA family! A special shout-out goes to our 2026 CATIE Award Chef of the Year, Executive Chef David Anderson of @cateringbydesignco in Denver, Colorado! David’s creativity and leadership in the kitchen sets the bar for excellence, and his team’s work earned top honors across this year’s CATIEs, including Best Small Plate. And to every ICA chef member: THANK YOU for the long hours, the bold ideas, and the passion you bring to every plate. One room. Three days. Endless ways to transform the experience. ✨ One of our favorite ways to keep a multi-day conference feeling fresh is by creating a consistent branded foundation—like a custom stage backdrop that anchors the space—while changing the details each day. By simply swapping the linen colors, adding fresh accents, and giving the room a new look every morning, attendees walk into a space that feels completely reimagined while still staying true to the event brand. It’s proof that you don’t need a new venue every day to create a new experience. Sometimes, the biggest impact comes from thoughtful design that keeps guests excited to see what’s next. 💚 by @ascendtheconference
We just wrapped an incredible 3- day conference in beautiful Savannah, Georgia, and we’re kicking off our behind-the-scenes recap with one of our favorite moments… registration! First impressions matter, so we made every detail count: 💌 Handwritten “Welcome to Savannah” postcards from every board member for a personal touch 🛋️ Branded pillows, banners, and décor to transform the registration space 🎟️ Elevated custom name badges paired with matching branded tote bags featuring items from our amazing sponsors ⭐ A sponsor recognition display celebrating the organizations that made this event possible 🔑 Custom hotel key card holders with a QR code to the conference app—making it easy for guests to jump right in And of course, our team couldn’t wait to welcome everyone! There’s nothing better than seeing months of planning come to life as attendees walk through the doors and we get to check them in with a smile. 🧡 Stay tuned as we take you through all three days of this unforgettable event! 📷 @phillipvnweddings by @ascendtheconference
The best events don’t happen by accident. They’re built on curiosity, creativity and a commitment to never stop learning. Last week, members of our team traveled to Savannah for the ASCEND Conference, where some of the brightest minds in hospitality came together to challenge convention, share ideas and shape what’s next for our industry. From fresh approaches to guest experience and event design to operational excellence and leadership, we came home inspired - and already putting those ideas into practice. Because when we invest in our team, we invest in every couple, every client, and every guest who trusts us with their most important moments. Here’s to raising the bar, one unforgettable event at a time. ✨ #HambyCatering #TheRutledgeRoom #Hospitality #eventprofessionals by @ascendtheconference

The ideas stay with you. The people stay with you. The feelings stay with you. ASCENDing, in full color. The International Caterers Association about to wrap our last day together at our first National Conference. We’ve spent a long time planning these moments. Now we’re living them. And somehow, we know the best part is that they’ll stay with us long after we leave Savannah. @icacater @growcateringfoundation by @ascendtheconference
Registration is open. Guests are arriving. The lobby at the Perry Lane is every bit as beautiful as we imagined. Champagne. Rosé. Thoughtful hospitality around every corner. (Yes, it really is Rosè, all day. For real.) ASCEND has officially begun, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome everyone to Savannah. ✨✨✨✨✨ All ASCEND marketing created by ASCEND Sponsor @rainmakersalesmarketing. by @ascendtheconference
Creativity has a way of changing everything around it. Chris Taylor has built a career creating exactly those moments. We’re honored to welcome Chef Taylor to ASCEND 2026. @chrisevansevents Chef, entrepreneur, and founder of Chris Evans Events + Catering, Chris is known for bringing fresh perspective to Southern cuisine, hospitality, and the guest experience. His work blends innovation with tradition, creating experiences that are as meaningful as they are memorable. At ASCEND, Chris will lead two immersive learning experiences. In his masterclass, The Modern Southern Renaissance, he’ll explore how honoring tradition can inspire the future of hospitality. In his immersive lab, Feeding Identity, he’ll invite attendees into a hands-on conversation about culture, storytelling, and the role food plays in creating connection and belonging. Two sessions. Two entirely different experiences. One extraordinary leader. Only at @ascendtheconference Powered by @icacater by @ascendtheconference
Leadership teaches you to notice the details. The moments before a guest arrives. The experience while they’re with you. The feeling they take home after they leave.
