With the sale of our Riley & Scott Mk III C, a chapter comes to an end. Imported from the United States, she was entrusted to @scott.sport , who restored and maintained her. We entered her in several series with great joy and success: Endurance Racing Legends Champion in 2022, and 3rd place in the Championship in 2023 and 2024. Behind the scenes at @ascottcollection, something is always brewing! This Saleen S7R GT1 will soon be back on track, and it’s set to make some serious noise. Only a handful of examples received the period upgrades developed by ORECA, and #80R is one of them… It clocked a 3:47.76 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, ahead of the Aston Martin DBR9s… We can’t wait to enter it in #enduranceracinglegends by @peterauto and race in the GT1B class. Designed with the expertise of aerodynamicist Max Sardou, the T600 paved the way for the Group C era by introducing a ground-effect diffuser and a rigid aluminum honeycomb chassis—delivering unprecedented leaps in both performance and safety. Official factory car and the only example fitted with a 3.3L F1-derived Ford Cosworth V8, HU3 stood out in 1981. Driven by Guy Edwards and Emilio de Villota in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the World Endurance Championship, it took overall victory at both Enna-Pergusa and Brands Hatch. Preserved for 37 years and fully restored by Ascott Collection in 2017, this unique machine is eligible for prestigious historic events such as Le Mans Classic Heritage & Legend (Grid 6) and Peter Auto’s Classic Endurance Racing 2. The announcement was made last week by Peter Auto that Group C support races will be included in the Le Mans Classic Heritage. It seems that Group C will be invited to race at Le Mans Classic every year. This is great news for Group C owners and prospective buyers.
