Words cannot express the joy these photos tried to capture. Our annual guide meetings this year took place in Spain..for the first time since the company’s inception, we all converged abroad as opposed to what’s always been great fun in Madison or California. The time, energy, funds, resources…it’s like the Master Card commercials: Uber to airport $92. Flight to Spain: $750. Four days with some of your favorite people: PRICELESS. 😍. 51 years ago, two young kids welcomed me into the world. If I could have one wish it would be that they were both here to thank. Birthdays are funny. They are focused on the person who’s flipped a page on the calendar. celebrating life, and another 365 day trip around the sun…yes, let’s celebrate that, AND, let’s make it be about celebrating the people who gave us life and shaped us into the people we’ve become. My parent’s exit from this life was far too soon and so, if your parents are still “here” consider this on your next birthday, and give them a hug for me. Today started off with a splash of yoga, meditation, coffee and a breakfast burrito and a beautiful day with a dear friend awaits… the next image is painted on the cafe wall. You know who you are, but if I could, I’d also include photos of all the amazing people I’m lucky enough to call friends, family, chosen-family, colleagues, former lovers and maybe even former friends, as they, and the experiences shared, high and low, are all threads that make up this crazy colorful blanket of life that protects me. Happy birthday to me. I’m thankful for all of you, but mostly, to my mom and dad (+my sister @amyfairgunnar )❤️ by @aseefair
