After 3 months of collaborating with Elizabeth Mountz (Oboe), William Geiler (Piano), and Professor R. James Whipple (coach) from Carnegie Mellon University, we performed two chamber works by Madeleine Dring and Eugene Goossens. As someone who continues to advocate for their artistry, I’ve been thankful to participate as an alum and experience the amazing talents CMU has to offer! Looking forward to creating a soundscape alongside Hellcat Sneer (@hellcat_sneer) as we spontaneous produce ambient music for his Tape Release Show! This show also features… ✨Some Are Bunnies (@bopowersmusic @fidalgolaura @insignificantlittlebinder): a quantum experience, a fracture in time and space, ecstatic ambient washes with an ear to emotional experimentation. ✨ Philophilm (@kzh4ng @liacole7 @t.se.ae): a thin, iridescent organism found on the surface of the still water. Depending on the wind and temperature, its composition reorganizes among keys, synth, winds, contact mic, amplified objects, and singing bowls. ✨ Live visuals by @johnnyarlett (DM for address) taken in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania by @asflutist

Next Wednesday, July 29th at 7:00pm, The Dream Unfinished, in partnership with the American Composers Orchestra, Luna Composition Lab, and the Center for Constitutional Rights, presents “Letters to America” at the Harlem School of the Arts. Featuring the chamber premiere of Brittany J. Green’s powerful work, conceived with GRAMMY Award-winning soprano Karen Slack, the program asks how our understanding of America changes when Black women’s voices are centered, heard, and celebrated. With music by Courtney Bryan, Nkeiru Okoye, and Ebun Oguntola, this evening is a moving exploration of memory, imagination, and belonging. Buy your tickets today using the following link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/letters-to-america-tickets-1992611612974 or via my link in bio. #Music #ChamberMusic #NYC #BlackWomen #Concert taken in The Harlem School of the Arts by @asflutist

“Tough Pill” snippet at @thegovernmentcenter, where I turned a performance into practice, experimenting with DJ-ing loops for a homework. A set that wouldn’t have happened without @calebapple123 inviting me to sub, @musicbyvix welcoming me onto the bill, and the bonus of @t.se.ae showing up to capture the moment. Grateful for the village that fuels my creative play🤹🏾‍♂️ • • • #music #flute #pittsburgh #experimentalmusic taken in The Government Center by @asflutist

Friends have asked how my last performance went, and it’s rare that I can honestly say, “I walked away feeling good.” Grateful to @t.se.ae for creating space at The Unmade Place and inviting this work into the room. I’m excited to keep refining this experimental spoken word project as I continue healing from the past. taken in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania by @asflutist
