How eclectic and imaginative can a single artist be? How many mediums can one artist possibly dabble in? @eddy1burger might be the answer. This genre-warping show was at @schoolhouse_gallery, with all pieces made of materials recycled from libraries. Very very cool stuff 😎

Once in a blue moon I find an exhibition that makes even me ask the age-old question, #butisitart? Claire Lambe’s work, which opened at @sarahscoutpresents on Thursday, certainly had me thinking it. Or maybe the question should be, “but is it furniture?”. I’ll let you decide 😎

Behold, the first book that I collated, edited and published. It was done when Word was almost prehistoric so I did all the formatting myself. As a result it doesn’t look amazing but I’m still very proud of what it was trying to do - make contemporary music and musicians academically credible. I still don’t know anyone who’s doing it. No more copies or files for a reprint exist, so I’ve scanned it and it’s now on my website. If you want to read it, go to the link in my bio, and from there go to Words - Past Books - Neo Industrial Opera. I’d love some feedback. It’s a blast from my past 😎

I know I usually post art, but what’s more stunningly artistic than a #sunset? Remember there’s a sunrise and a sunset every day, so nature gives us 730 shows a year. I call this series of photos “snoozing #pelicans” because there were two of them here in the #stkilda sunset yesterday. They’re in the photos. Look closer 😎

One of the most utterly intriguing, masterfully done and pertinent bits of random art I’ve seen in years….in an otherwise empty shop front in Fitzroy North there’s these two characters, which I found out are parts of a work in progress when I scanned the QR code, which led me to @maynardarchitect, an architectural company on #swanstonstreet. Note in the photos that as you move from one side of the window to the other, the cameras follow you. Very clever, wonderfully artistic, and, like I said, totally pertinent. When this turns into an exhibition I’ll be letting everyone know. Hint - it’s just a few doors north of the @thelordnewryhotel. On the same side 😎

My faves at last night’s opening at @artbankau, the utterly unique art gallery where you don’t buy it, you hire it annually from a collection of thousands of pieces. Here’s stuff by @any_capacity, @visaya_hoffie, @kez__hughes, @jacobus_capone, @hancockinger, and eggs on toast made of bronze by @simonzoric. Get down there and check it out 😎
