✨Opening Night at SOL Gallery✨
30th July 2025, what a memorable day & night.
I was still attaching the Certificate of Authenticity to one of the prints and packing it in the morning 😆

I thank you all for your presence, love, support and fun! Even if you couldn’t make it, I received your love 🩷
Big shout out to the gallery staff, they make it so pleasant being there every time.

The exhibition runs until Sunday 10th Aug. Have a look at other artists’ works there as well, they are so thought-provoking. I love them🌸

SOL Gallery is open 11am-6pm everyday except Mondays.

Their online catalogue is also available for the next 4 weeks or so. Purchase can be made there even using afterpay

Had such a great day @suitcaserummages yesterday, even with that cool Melbourne 💨
Why I ❤️ @suitcaserummages is for its sustainability ethos and supporting independent makers. Had the loveliest neighbours & so cool when you get to meet people that have supported me too - @eddy1burger who grabbed a burger ring from me & we realised we both had been in @incube8r at the same time & @ash.brom_writer who I found I was already following - looking forward to reading your book. And Eddys work.
Print by @sarahtyler - which reminded me of microwave chicken rolls from 7-11 in the 80s after going to live gigs 😂
Picked up a bag for the eldest (will be a beach bag in Summer), and how cute were all the dogos that went through the market?

Last week to view this exhibition at @solgalleryspace (till Dec 22nd)

NO WI-FI IN THIS PARADISE
10-22 Dec 2024 at @solgalleryspace
Opening night Thu, Dec 12 (6-8.30pm)

No Wi-Fi in This Paradise
is a whimsical ceramic wall and sculpture installation that blends pastel colours with kawaii-inspired pop art aesthetics. The work transports viewers to a dreamy, idyllic world where nature exists in its most charming and playful forms, untouched by the digital distractions of modern life. Through soft hues and cartoonish, surreal representations of natural elements, the installation invites contemplation of a simpler, more serene existence—one that doesn’t rely on constant connectivity. In this "paradise," the beauty of the natural world is celebrated in its purest, most joyful form, encouraging a moment of escape from the noise of the digital age.

It was one of the most challenging, confronting weeks for my business I don't wish to disclose for personal reasons (but those who are close to me, would know).

Please... please whatever business you may run, please know as an artist, you operate with a LOT of heart and can mostly NOT - especially during the growing/budding stages - work yourself to the bone and do things for free "for more exposure". You have to stand up for yourself and draw the line.

If you want to collaborate with an artist, please treat them with dignity and respect. Work as a team, TOGETHER. Thank you - you know who you are - that you now have acknowledged and apologised - it truly did soften the blow.

Sometimes a little flame takes just a mere breeze to die. But luckily I seek, find and nurture the light wherever I can, and, more importantly, make sure to share it for those who may be in need of it too.

Artists, remember your worth and your WHY. Put energy into what gives BACK & NOURISHES.

Thank God for how the light fell into my home yesterday and took me on small, visual ecstasies or pure, simplified wonder. Then all the way to @jeanpaulzilliacussculpture & @mandichjohn's exhibition opening at my ever-beautiful @montsalvatartscentre, where mulled wine, warm familiar and new faces lit up my inner fire until it ended around a communion of more flames, food and all that what makes you feel good, worthy and right in the world

Sorry I took no photos of the exhibition itself, nor its artists & collaborators involved, but shyness took hold and only admiration and gratitude remained.

But please go... please go indulge in John Mandich's exquisite & GIGANTIC Archibald entries from over the years and set aside some time to read the carefully-curated biographies @ash.brom_writer has so emotively hit the mark with as they accompany each piece.

And @jeanpaulzilliacussculpture's sculptures of the human body that gently invites one to explore it from different perspectives... just gift yourself this soul-enriching favour and GO experience this for yourself.

Because of John's work & Ash's written piece, it feels like I just want to go and give Maria of the @theevelynhotel a big, warm hug.

Thank you to all who turned up to celebrate the opening of my solo show SILENT SYMPHONY last night. The support and attendance was amazing!!! At one stage it was so hard to move around. So many people were so positive and loved the work. I was very pleased and so touched by the support and love for the work. Sold a few works. It is good to know the works are going to be loved and placed in peoples homes and offices.
Off to the gallery again today to catch up with a few people who couldn’t make the show. The exhibition ends on the 9th June.
