Death has always been a hard one for me, but this week it stared me right in the face as I said goodbye to my aunt. I will never forget her laugh or the way she always responded with “love you most” when I told her I loved her. I certainly won’t forget the way she pet my hair the last time I saw her. In that moment I shared some of my favorite memories with her as I laid my head on her lap and squeezed her hand. I told her how lucky she was to have such a big, loving family, all of whom were taking over the ICU waiting room telling stories I was hearing for the first time. It brought light to the darkness. Nothing can prepare you for losing someone you love, so hug them tight because tomorrow isn’t promised and we don’t always get to say goodbye. Rest in peace Aunt Deb ❤️ by @asha_frash

Our small guy is having a hard time transitioning into this dimension and has been needing some extra support from the NICU team. These have been the hardest days of our lives, but things are looking up and we are all so anxious to have this boy home with us. This is 7! We celebrated this amazing boy yesterday with all things Atlas. I can’t believe my tiny baby is officially a big kid, the time is going too fast.
