Need to know right now how I got so lucky! 🖤 by @ashleyallday_
Happy 43rd Birthday to my best babe dude @jakejamesrealtor. I love you so much. 🖤 by @ashleyallday_
Spent Labor Day weekend in 30A with family + celebrating my Grandpa and Grandmas 50th wedding anniversary! It was such a special weekend and being an Aunt Ashy is one of my life’s greatest joys! ☺️💛✨ by @ashleyallday_
For the last 40 years, on the last weekend in July, my Dad’s family has taken a canoe trip down the Au Sable River. I had a knowing that last year’s canoe trip would be my Dad’s last. Being in that anticipatory grief is torture. Same with the other side of it. We spent this weekend honoring and fulfilling the wishes of my Dad and where he wanted some of his ashes to be. We also did a Celebration of Life. It was beautiful and also so difficult. I’ll share more about it at another time. I made this with videos from last year and this year. To try and emulate the way grief can feel at moments when one of your favorite people are missing— just so incredibly empty. But then you think about all the love, happy times, etc, etc— yes! But sometimes— this is just the longing and vastness of what grief is. Much love. ✨💛 by @ashleyallday_
Six years ago today I met my Jake. And nothin’ was the same again. I love you endlessly. 💛 by @ashleyallday_
Ever since I met Jake, I’ve heard about summers at Conesus Lake. It was thee most lovely to finally see the place where his parents met and celebrate his Dad’s 70th + have rad times with family. ✨💛⛵️ by @ashleyallday_
This is last year’s Father’s Day. Two months after we found out my Dad had a rare aggressive cancer. Jake took my family on a fishing charter he won. That’s all my Dad wanted to do— move to Florida + fish. Seeing the joy on my Dad’s face on that boat— filled my heart with such joy. I cherish that weekend beyond words. So grateful. I spent the day today serving tea to Jess’ YTT graduates. My first tea ceremony since he died. Brought a photo of him along and his prayer stone. Felt good to be in the presence of what is. Still learning to accept what is. I put this song on the playlist. It made me envision my Dad as a little boy, in the back of an old 1970’s car, windows down, wind blowin, sunshine on his face, even if he was just goin’ down the street— he was on his own great big adventure. ✨☀️💛 We very much did catch fish— and throw it on the grill that night. 😌 by @ashleyallday_
Escaped to the mountains with my love in May to breathe some life back into our souls after a really tough year. These mountains seem to speak a language my nervous system remembers— they always have a way of takin’ care of me. 💛⛰️🌲 by @ashleyallday_
Happy 34th Birthday to my girl, my Gemini baby, my lady with a heart made of gold. A blessing a million times over to know you, to be loved by you. The way you listen, show up, hold space, and bring joy to wherever you go— I’m grateful for you and the woman you are. For all the ways you have been there for me in my life and especially during the hardest year of my life. Anyone that gets to call you a friend is incredibly lucky! You’re it baby! I love you. ✨💛 by @ashleyallday_
To those who may not be mothers in the traditional, child-raising sense— but who spend their lives holding space, nurturing, listening, advice giving, creating, loving, caring for this Earth, and helping guide and support the children of friends and family — you are Mother too. And in many ways, the purest embodiment of it. Don’t forget that. ✨💛 Happy Mother’s Day to all the women who live their lives with that kind of love and presence always. I see you. xo. by @ashleyallday_
Eight days ago on February 3rd, 2026 my Dad, age 55, peacefully left this Earth and moved on to his next great big adventure. He was able to be at home and my mom, brother, Jake, and I were right by his side all the way till his very last breath. It was beautiful and miraculous beyond words— my Dad’s last great gift to us. ✨ My Mom and Dad had just moved down here in September after having it be their big dream to live by me for the last 10 years. I am gutted, heartbroken and deeply missing my best guy, my buddy. My Dads spirit and tenacity for life was brighter than the sun! He was the absolute best. This Saturday in Toledo we will be holding a memorial service for him. I wrote his obituary (which will be in The Blade tomorrow) but you can also read it by clicking the link in my bio. It was the honor of my life to write it. Hold the ones you love so close as life’s path can change at any moment. There’s much more I’d like to say, but for now this what I got. Much love to you. ✨🙏🏻💛 by @ashleyallday_
