As a retired people-pleaser, I definitely had to learn this the hard way!

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that you can love people without giving them the same level of access to your life. Some friendships are for a season, some are for a specific purpose, some are for the fun moments, and a precious few are safe enough to hold the deepest parts of you.

I’m so thankful to have some of the best friends in my life and in my corner, but I definitely had to kiss a few frogs and learn a few lessons along the way to get here 😂

I think there’s so much freedom in learning to love people where they are, appreciate what a friendship is, and stop forcing it to be something it’s not

10 years of being yours. Choosing you, choosing us, building a life from the ground up. We’ve built a home, a family, a life that little versions of us could’ve only dreamed of. And if there’s one thing I know, it’s that I’d choose you in every lifetime.

In every version of this life, through every season, in every circumstance.

Still my favorite person, still my answered prayer, still the one I want beside me through it all. And by God’s grace, the best is yet to come 🤍

My hands are full, my schedule is jam-packed, and our days are busy.

But one day, it won’t be like this. One day, I won’t be ripping and running. One day I won’t have to wake up early to make breakfast or pack lunches. One day, I won’t have to do any school drop-offs or pick-ups.

And I know I’ll miss it. I know my heart will crave and desire the days I’m living in now.

So even on the hard days, I’m trying to remember that this is the good stuff. The noise, the mess, the early mornings, the carpool lines, the little voices calling “Mom” a hundred times a day.

One day, my hands won’t be this full …. and I already know I’ll wish they were

I’m perfectly comfortable standing ten toes down by myselt, making the decisions that are right for me, and letting people disagree. I don’t need a crowd to make me confident. It’s actually extremely freeing lol

And honestly .... sometimes, standing alone is proof that you’re standing on something solid.
