“Where did you get that from?”

I’m here to Answer the most requested question from the garden party😅! This entire look was built on a vision of tulle, sustainability, and centering Black-owned businesses 🤎 Every time I get dressed, I love to center Black designers, Black-owned businesses, and Black creators for this event!

Quick breakdown of the magic:

✨The Blazer: A gorgeous piece from Bukola’s shop, @sliquestitches on King Street. Slique features hand designed one of a kind styles buy the creative designer and owner Bukola! Speak with her for custom designs too!

✨The Remix: Quiana, the mastermind behind @the.golden.thimble on Ottawa Street, and her team helped me upcycle an old dress from my aunt into this skirt. They designed my inner shirt from scratch and even took leftover fabric to accent the blazer sleeves and the white heels (also purchased from her shop!).

Yes, it’s a two-piece, and yes, I’ll be wearing the pieces again to make new outfits 🤩.

🎉✨ It’s my birthday AND I have BIG news!! ✨🎉

I’m SO EXCITED to share that I’m participating in Dancing with the Easter Seals Stars, all in support of an incredible cause!

Easter Seals helps children and youth with physical disabilities, and my mission is to send two amazing students to an all-accessible summer camp. 💛

It costs $2,500 per student, so my goal is to raise $5,000.
Here’s where YOU come in:
☀️ If 143 people donate $35 (or more) to this cause, we’ll reach that goal of $5000!

This edition of Office Treats, we went full Euro-bakery-core 🇩🇪

Big thanks to downtown Hamilton legend @denningersfoods for the apple strudell and lemon cheese strudel that had us all emotionally unprepared.

Even better, we were joined by our friend @ashmontie from @blkownedhamont to help us rate these crumbly beauties on our very serious, very scientific snack scale.

Spoiler: they passed. With flying strudel.

Ashleigh Montague will be our panel's moderator at the upcoming Women in Leadership Luncheon hosted by @hamiltonchamber in partnership with @ywcahamilton on May 27, 2025!

Ashleigh Montague (she/her) is a community leader and Executive Director of @blkownedhamont, a non-profit organization she co-founded with her two sisters in 2020. Based in Hamilton, BLK OWNED is dedicated to creating opportunities and fostering empowerment within the Black community. Under Ashleigh’s leadership, the organization is now thriving as it enters its fifth year. She has been recognized for her impactful work through prestigious honors, including the King Charles III Coronation Medal for her service to community, the 40 Under 40 awards, induction into the Pilon School of Business Hall of Fame, and a nomination for the Women of Distinction Awards in 2021.
