Tapping into the possibilities of what we once only imagined we could. This would be our first official bridal attire work for both His and Hers. From darkening(kuvui) plain Masi to hand printing(kesa), designing, cutting and sewing till the very finish. Blessed tobe working alongside Jyne who is fairly gifted in his creative flair tobe able to complete this bridal wear. About 8 weeks of work finally completed. My client had a round Tapa specially printed for his new office space but asked me if I could add abit of my magic to it, so I did. Instead of just vanishing and framing it he felt like the work was too intricate that it needed a glass over it to protect it from weathering. Extra work for me but at the end i'm so glad I sealed it in coz it elevated it to a masterpiece. by @ashphaneuf

Honored and truly grateful to have attended such an incredible and impactful event like SPTE 🌺✨ As Miss Pacific Islands, this experience has opened my eyes to the powerful role tourism plays in shaping our region. It's been quite an interesting short journey working with Arti the past few days. Listening to her testimony as a born again Christian, being ridiculed for it to having her own growing ministry today and simply how far her faith has brought her. On our photoshoot on wednesday 11th I was in the middle of her makeup when she was informed that by Satdy there is zero chance of getting married outdoor as they are predicting rain and even thunderstorms. I saw this girl calmly took a deep breath and prayed there and then, she opened her eyes and said I am still getting married outdoor & the weather will be perfect, and perfect it was. Faith really does move mountains 🙏 by @ashphaneuf

It has officially been a week since the crowning ! And I must say to God be the Glory! I thank him for bringing me this far , I thank him for the breath of life every morning, for the new potion of love , his everlasting mercy and most importantly his guidance and protection over me and my family every single day🤍 I’ve been doing a lot of reflection and understanding over this week and I must say every photo I look at speak to me differently because every day has its own story and own beginning and ending, this day I was blessed to wear Jaba by a lovely designer who has roots to both Fiji and Tonga the one and only Shane with his brand laboriel, this day I decided to honor the diverse cultures of my beloved country Fiji ! It reminded me the importance of celebrating cultural diversity and honoring these traditions and our heritage. As a young women who has roots from Samoa and Fiji it inspired me to learn more about my cultures and traditions and to share the diversity of our pacific nations I was intrigued by the similarities we share between pacific nations from our traditional culture whether it be our native languages ,food , practices and even to our way of life, each and every pacific nation has its own unique cultures but also traditions that connects us as pacific people. Our culture has always been apart of who we are as pacific people it is the foundation of a person and knowing your heritage and being deeply rooted in it is a great privilege and honor. I believe it is a blessing to not only have your family as your backbone but your whole village , your whole island and your whole nation aswell because it takes a village to raise a child and being able to fall back on them in times of crisis is a blessing in disguise. our culture, our traditions our heritage is what makes us pacific people it is what sets us apart from the rest of the world and the values we learn are what we should implement everyday in everything we do and every way we can . As I reflect upon my journey I acknowledge all those who stood by me in times of defiance in a time where I questioned my own personal beliefs a time I even questioned my existence but all in all I extend my deepest gratitude to the man above my Heavenly Father for his unwavering love and my team for their sacrifice, service and love I applaud them for always ensuring I’m okay mentally, physically, emotionally and most importantly spiritually! Now let’s have a moment for the dress by @samsonleefiji and the hair and makeup by @ashphaneuf I must give all the credits to them for not only making me look beautiful but also for making me Feel beautiful✨ by @ashphaneuf

"CARRIED NOT WORN" Here presenting you a snippet of the construction on our Traditional Attire to the Miss Pacific Islands. I am so so grateful for the love and support shown by our people, the idea was to represent "All Of Us" as a nation and I hope you all felt represented 🙏 I was also very blessed to have collaborated with some very enthusiastic who could help bring this vision to life.
