Oh bubba, how I miss you so much. You are looking down on the whole town of Ponder loving the attention you are getting. I can’t believe that you’re actually gone. Registration and more details to come, just put it on your calendar!!! This will be an event for ALL, whether you are a walker, jogger or a runner! 3 different routes with 3 different distances so choose what's best for you best for you and your family! Overwhelmed with gratitude.

As you know, Caden’s #44 was retired by the Ponder Lion Football program. Every part of the ceremony and game that followed was perfect.

Coach Schulz, our family can’t thank you enough for everything. Your respect for Caden and our family, along with your willingness to ensure the program honored him in the right way is something we’ll remember forever.

To Caden’s former teammates and more importantly, friends, that traveled near and far to be a part of this was special. Every one of you (too many to tag), has been by our side every step of the way, just like you always were for Caden on and off the field. We love you all and are so thankful you are a part of our journey. Keep showing up! Each of you inspire us to keep moving forward.

To the Ponder community. What can I say? You continue to wrap our family in your arms and show love, kindness, and genuine care for all of us. I couldn’t imagine doing it without this support and know how special Ponder is. Thank you!

For me personally, last night was a combination of immense pride and deep heartache. Really hard to put into words, but will never waiver in my faith in God as He continues to use Caden to bring more people and communities closer in spreading love and kindness.

For those that made it out to the ceremony and those far away, thank you. Your presence and/or messages were felt and will continue to be. More photos and videos will be coming and we’ll be sure to post. If you have any to share, we would love to see them.

Thank you, again, for honoring Caden. I know he is looking down with us with immense pride and overuse of eye black:)

We invite you to join us on September 4th at 6:30PM, at the Ponder High School Football stadium, as Ponder ISD recognizes Caden Lake Nowicki by retiring his Ponder Lions football number, #44. This Sunday, June 28th we will walk/run our 4.44 miles for Caden!!! THIS one will be a glow walk/run in the evening in hopes that it's cooler! Be at PHS parking lot BY 7:30pm to get your Glow Sticks, to stretch and photo at 7:40pm. **** If 4.44 miles is too much right now, commit to 44 minutes of walking!!! As always, we will take off at 7:44pm so please be early! 💕During this walk/run or sometime throughout the day or evening, please support a dear friend of mine who is also honoring her Heavenly son. She shared with me one day that she now felt comfort in knowing that Caden was with her son that she was unable to meet! 💗 I know that Caden is a great big brother to her son Stetson. Cady Bear, not a single day goes by where I don’t want to give the the biggest hug in existence. It’s been almost 5 months and I’m about to be turning 15 in 5 days. This year is gonna be much different though. I’m not gonna have you to show what I got or rip any Pokémon packs with. It’s gonna be my first birthday lunch with just 4 people physically there. Exactly 3 years ago, Ryan, Caden and I were on our 3rd day of a mission trip in Nicaragua. We went and built 2 houses in a remote village outside of Corinto, Nicaragua. Caden loved working on the house, but also playing with the children in the village.

Today, Ryan, Ashton, my sister’s family and I returned from a Honduras mission trip with FOTP. This mission trip was just as important as Nicaragua, if not more. We were there because we wanted to be there to be a part of this mission to help be the hands and feet of Jesus for others, however we were also there to honor and continue Caden’s legacy of Loving others.

This week was a great reminder of how blessed we are and that we are here to LOVE others. “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; just I have loved you, you also are to love one another.” John 13:34

During this trip, Caden’s love and support was all around and he helped make it happen as we dedicated one of the house in this honor. Fellowship of the Parks (FOTP), and our group of 30 built 4 houses in 4 days! #44. Being able to hand the keys to the mother of the house, pray over her house and her family, that they will be protected and be able to create memories together in the house was absolutely incredible, breathtaking and an moment that truly can not described. The humility, love and gratefulness she and the other families showed blessed and changed our hearts just as much if not more! Always remember, you have an opportunity EVERYDAY to serve others, are you going to choose to do it?
