HENGE Live presents Pagan Sex Magick, a series of electronic music nights at Club Cheek in Brixton by Dash The Henge

🎟️ AVAILABLE NOW ON DICE ✨

New DJ: Austin of SNAPPED ANKLES summons ancient relics and modern demons

Channeling the occult frequencies of Aleister Crowley, Anton LaVey, the rocket-fuel visions of Jack Parsons, and the psychic transmissions of Genesis P-Orridge

Plus FREE Pre-Party at HENGE Brixton with Kyle Martin and Russell Penn

The DNA Test (Live)
Part band, part art experiment, The DNA Test is what happens when post-punk lineage meets electronic ritual. Featuring Martina Spetlova ( LOGGSPLITTER / FACEKINI), Jem Doulton (THURSTON MOORE GROUP / AU PAIRS / MELOS KALPA ), and Austin ( SNAPPED ANKLES / LOGGSPLITTER) the trio combine live drums, thunderous Latvian Pērkons drum machinery, wild and organic Soma Terra synths with incantatory vocals to build a wild grooves within a living soundscape

Logan Fisher (DJ)
Logan Fisher, party starter, scene setter and DJ has been playing at and curating club nights for over 2 decades. From the iconic Plastic People in London hosting legends of the progressive house sound (Darren Emerson, Paul Daley, Billy Nasty, Andrew Weatherall) he became one of the east London pioneers creating some of the first parties in the then overlooked part of London better known as Shoreditch

His latest venture, along with partner in crime Dave Gadsden, the absolutely bonkers covert warehouse parties “Tryouts For The Human Race” has set tongues wagging and already reached cult status, selling out within minutes every time and pulling in a procession of the scenes best dj’s and producers

33rd December (DJ)
South London producers Matt Priory & Miles Davies, working at dusk-tinted tempos with smoked synths and gently obsessive grooves

THE DNA TEST LONDON DEBUT SHOW!

Part band, part art experiment, The DNA Test is what happens when post-punk lineage meets electronic ritual. Featuring Martina Spetlova ( LOGGSPLITTER / FACEKINI), Jem Doulton (THURSTON MOORE GROUP / AU PAIRS / MELOS KALPA ), and Austin ( SNAPPED ANKLES / LOGGSPLITTER) the trio combine live drums, thunderous Latvian Pērkons drum machinery, wild and organic Soma Terra synths with incantatory vocals to build a wild grooves within a living soundscape. Responding to the politics of DNA, borders, and belonging, the project questions the logic of origin myths with wit and bite. Serious ideas, sweaty execution. The DNA Test doesn’t offer answers - it sets the test on fire.

ROCKTONE REBEL
Once and still a one man band. Now supported live by a band of friends. AMEDEO'S ROCKTONE REBEL are a fresh blend of calypso math lo-fi exuberance. Fresh groovy fun msic.

WATERDEER
Stubbornly clinging to the flotsam and jetsam of a rapidly receding 20th century, Waterdeer are a six piece dream pop band that blend ethereal melodies, downtempo rhythms, and haunting vocals to conjure a sound that wouldn't have been out of place on the early 90s Too Pure roster. Think PJ Harvey, Movietone, Mazzy Star, The For Carnation, you know, the good stuff. Ask us about our favourite David Lynch film.

A couple of weeks back in Italy after a night in Parma, M & I headed towards Modena. Just on the outskirts we stumbled upon Aldo Rossi’s San Cataldo Cemetery. Apparently it is considered one of the first and most important Postmodern buildings. Rossi designed it in 1971 while recovering from his first bad car crash.. (a second one killed him in Milan 1997). Now it’s looking pretty tired and unloved with much of the plan unfinished and the ossuary half empty. taken in Modena, Italy by @ashtrayagram
