Originating in the mid-19th century through the royal patronage of Jalantara and popularized by legendary figures like poet Gourahari Parichha, this breathtaking art form brings the divine legend of Bhakta Prahallada and Lord Nrusingha to life.
From its unique 7-stepped Mancha representing the seven worlds to the sacred, century-old bear-hair masks and soul-stirring Odissi music led by the Gahaka, every single element of this heritage is pure magic.
