The in between, on film. When we’re still figuring things out—flowers or branches in a vase? what’s the best book to put under a sculptural object? do we cut a piece of fruit or leave it whole? what is the light doing? where is our eye going?

We love rediscovering a place through the handful of shots we get during the in between, often months after we’ve wrapped up a project.

Sunrise at Concrete House on SE 36th Ave✨

Beyond excited to share more from this project we worked on for months! We had the pleasure of supporting @_______capdev and @material_af in curating and installing furnishings for this incredible home, as well as styling and photographing it.

We have a lot more to share but for now, this home is on the market and it’s a stunner! ✨ taken in Portland, Oregon by @assemble_collective

The in-between, second edition. Some bits and pieces from a shoot in Laurelhurst last April. In the moment frames that tell a story about a space we got to know once. A corner we didn’t get around to shoot, a folding chair that made everything softer, light that we can’t predict or produce. We had to wait till the last two hours before sunset to see the true magic of this one ☀️✨

Our first project together, a takeover of The Gordon House—designed by Frank Lloyd Wright—to install and photograph this special vintage edit for Wilma✨

What started as a fun field trip to see The Gordon House, turned into an inspiring and engaging morning where we decided all three of us needed be involved in the photo shoot. After spending that hot summer day moving furniture, looking through screens, following the light, we knew we had to do more of it and so Assemble Collective came to life.

We can’t believe it’s been nearly two years since the project that started it all! We’ll come back to these photos forever :) taken in Portland, Oregon by @assemble_collective
