Whether drawing inspiration from the African American musical tradition or embracing Creole influences—as exemplified by the outstanding Réunionese singer Kaloune—many vocalists are shaping today’s French music scene. Influenced by Mary J. Blige and Erykah Badu, @astr0nne is part of this new wave. A gifted songwriter, the French-Cameroonian composer and multi-instrumentalist broadens the scope of soul, seamlessly weaving in folk and jazz influences. While this approach is not entirely unprecedented—artists such as Joan Armatrading and Alice Coltrane have long blended these genres—Astrønne’s interpretation feels remarkably authentic and compelling.

Recorded in June 2026 at @lapetitehalle, the intimate venue within Paris’s Parc de la Villette, as part of the Qwest TV On Stage concert series, Astrønne unveils a repertoire that explores deeply personal themes, including mental health and identity, through a carefully crafted stage performance. Intimate in both scale and atmosphere, the forty-minute set opens with an ethereal, almost otherworldly piece. Carried by acoustic guitar, "Reconnect" highlights the young artist’s delicate vocal tone. Visibly moved, she plays with reverb and understated arrangements, as heard on the tender "Fille," a deeply affecting self-portrait. 123 shows in Paris this month :)

I don’t know about yours but my Summer was UPSIDE DOWN :) learned a lot, screamed, danced, ran, cried, diiffficult convos and so much more clarity.
I’m excited to share - Thank God for music, and thank God my job is my passion and mission but also why tf but also still riding the exhausted but grateful wave - I hope yall thriving and growing through it all
That’s what this song is about - it’s the only song I made this summer and all that you hear came out of my mouth hehe 🤭

Couple reminders :
