Constructed from 14.5 oz, 100% cotton denim finished with a 3 day washing process for a beautifully textured, natural looking fade across the entire garment. Featuring the signature distressed embroidery with floral peekaboo patchwork, as well as heelbite distressing and lined + distressed back pockets. as the garment is worn, erosion of the top denim layer will expose more floral fabric beneath, making the garment more beautiful with age. The garment comes with custom hardware, including: custom rivets underneath each belt loop, exposed zipper fly with custom buttons, a custom frame back patch that is unique to every pair.

I was inspired to make this piece to communicate my love for decayed and broken things, using reverse patchwork and repairs to illustrate finding beauty within the hideous.

New buttons for our Decay Denims. I believe that in fashion, the smallest details are the most important; the things you don’t immediately notice are like marks of authenticity to validate that the garment at large was made with care and love.

From my hand drawn design to physical buttons on the denims, every single piece carries a level of care and attention that just cant be matched with off the shelf details.

DECAY DENIMS, after years in the works, countless fabric tests, manufacturing runs, and redesigns, i am extremely excited to finally bring this piece to life.

Made to represent my love for broken and decayed things, the decay denims use reverse patchwork to line each hole with a beautiful floral fabric for an insane contrast, alongside distressed embroidery, a 3 day long wash process to create a genuine looking intense fade, and full custom hardware.

Rosie sweats, inspired by my cat Rosie. The main element of the sweats; the darted knee construction, is inspired by the anatomy of a cat’s leg. Using darts, I was able to introduce this form into the sweats in a way that builds and holds a really beautiful shape throughout the garment. When wearing them, its very clear how they manipulate the silhouette by pushing the knee base forward, the same way a cat’s digitigrade knee anatomy works. Additionally, I was inspired by the colors, softness, and general idea of comfort i saw in Rosie, guiding my design decisions such as the 100% cotton french terry that only gets softer as it ages, or the acid wash finish for a nice touch of depth in the color.

It is hard to get as comfy as a cat who sleeps 18 hours a day, but with the Rosie sweats, you can come pretty close. Available now with free next day shipping. by @astropheapparel
