Atemporal Projects is a hybrid listening room, gallery, and cultural space in Berlin that refuses to be just one thing.

We sat down with Marika and Toro and talked about the difference between hearing music and truly listening to it, why they couldn’t separate music, art, design, and architecture into one category, and the Beirut Groove Collective night in London that changed the course of both their lives.

A morning full of inspiration, warmth and incredible energy, taking us on a sonic journey through Eritrea and the Horn of Africa.

Through rare recordings and musical research, Eritrean Anthology shared stories from Eritrea’s influential 1970s vinyl era a remarkable period where jazz, soul, urban sounds and traditional influences came together to create a distinctive musical identity.

Such a special way to spend the morning together, listening, discovering and sharing stories through music.

LIVING ROOM MEDITATION
Mindfulness with a feeling of home. This session is a listening experience inviting you to breathe, meditate and enhance your creativity in a cosy community space where art, music and consciousness communicate.

Wellness is as simple as taking a moment for contemplation, reflection, and relaxation: sit on a chair, a sofa, a cushion or the floor, and unwind through somatic practices and sound.
This event includes creative workshops; dress comfortably and bring something to write/draw with.

Listening Session @cassiekinoshi

Arranging and orchestration are some of the most important tools a composer can have.

The art of writing for particular musicians and allowing their personalities to shine, while shaping how each instrumental voice moves within and around others to build a layered sonic world is integral to creating music with emotional depth and richness.

This listening session presents records from Cassie Kinoshi’s personal vinyl collection, spotlighting some of her favorite composer-arrangers across genres, with a focus on large ensemble and string writing, alongside artists arranging outside the sound world they are most known for. Together, the selections show how much of a piece’s character is decided by how its parts are arranged.

The evening also includes a screening of the first half of Love You Madly (1967), Ralph J. Gleason’s documentary on Duke Ellington. In it, Ellington speaks about the personal nature of arranging and the individual voices that shape a band’s sound.

Teshi’s Fine Hour is proud to present Ana Moush Kafer, Lebanon’s icon Ziad Rahbani’s classic from 1985, available on vinyl for the first time, featuring remastered audio and original cassette artwork.

Come experience this masterpiece at Berlin’s listening space Atemporal on October 8th before its release.

Reissued from Paris imprint @wewantsounds , Ana Moush Kafer was recorded at his By-Pass Studio in Beirut during the height of the Lebanese Civil War in 1985.

Showcasing Rahbani’s signature blend of Arabic music infused with touches of jazz-funk and bossa nova, the album has attained cult status over the years. Originally released on cassette, it has never before been available on vinyl. Newly remastered, this edition features the original Relax-In cassette artwork from 1985 and includes new liner notes by Mario Choueiry of the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris.

UYKUDAN UYAN (AWAKEN FROM SLEEP)

What happens when a voice becomes a place to remember? Born from Anatolian and Muslim heritage, singer, poet and vocal therapist @nevaruveyda creates intimate sonic landscapes where tradition, Sufism and personal memory meet. Her voice moves between tenderness and longing, prayer and improvisation, silence and song - inviting listeners into a space of deep listening and inner reflection.

A Ritual of Voice is not conceived as a conventional concert, but as a temporary space of presence.

At the heart of the evening is Rûveyda’s debut EP Uykudan Uyan - Awaken from Sleep, born from improvised songs and rooted in her earliest encounter with music: the tender sound of a mother singing her child into sleep.

From this image unfolds a journey through lullaby and lament, devotion and grief, sleep and awakening. Compositions from the EP intertwine with vocal improvisations, poetry, breath and silence. Songs dissolve into prayers; prayers become melodies; memories emerge through the voice.

The recurring call to awaken from sleep unfolds in many directions — toward forgotten parts of ourselves, toward childhood, toward grief and longing, toward one another, and toward the wounds we carry collectively. For one evening, the room becomes a space suspended between worlds. A place to listen not only to music, but to what lives beneath language - what the body remembers before the mind can understand.

There is no story to resolve and no answer to arrive at.

On October 25th, the clocks go back and the evening arrives a little sooner. As the days grow darker and we naturally begin to turn inward, we invite you to gather with us - to step away from the noise, slow down and listen.

When was the last time you were truly still? Free from distractions and racing thoughts?
In a world that never stops, that is only getting louder, competing harder for our attention - how and where do we find space to just be present? How do we find our way back inward, listening closer and deeper, to ourselves, to each other? To what our souls and bodies are saying? To what our voices are hungry to express?

Listen In is a live, guided experience that uses sound, voice and body work, play, and journaling as entry points into stillness.

Facilitated by Salber Lee Williams, coach, actor, and spoken word artist working at the intersection of voice, presence, and embodied communication, Listen In is a 90 minute journey inward, offering you space and time away from the noise and distractions. Space to just be present. To rediscover the connection between your body, mind, and inner voice again.

For when we truly listen in, who knows what we might hear…
