Had another fantastic visit to Renzo Gracie Upper East Side in Manhattan last night! 🥋 I trained with Jonathon and Danil, who I had coordinated with to meet up. It was great to see Danil again, as he was one of my students at DJJC! Ironically, Athan paired me up with Jack for positional sparring. It turns out that both Jack is also a former students from Chicago who relocated to Manhattan after graduating! 🎓 Jack also trained for several years at Downtown Jiu Jitsu Club/Adem Redzovic’s school while living in the Windy City.

And of course, we all know Jonathon’s journey—he spent three months at DJJC this past summer. 🌟 Last night’s class was led by Athan, who I first met about a year ago during one of his classes at Renzo Gracie Union Square. These mat reunions are truly awesome! 🙌
