Ozols, gaismas kods.
eļļa, audekls, 52x40 cm,
2024

Oak, Code of Light
Oil on canvas, 52 x 40 cm
2024

Through regularly painting from life, I've noticed that my perception becomes more sensitive, and I gradually begin to see something beyond the landscape or the tree itself. Observing the interplay of light and shadow on a rainy day, I noticed a golden light glowing inside the hollow of the oak. As I painted, the words “code of light” came to me, and I felt as though I had discovered something essential at the very heart of the tree.
I often go to sit beneath an oak when I feel the need to ground myself, to encounter its spirit, to feel its presence and strength, or simply to be close to something greater and more powerful. To me, trees are like silent friends who are always there to offer support.
