🤔How does a dyer burn out? My definition of true horror, is dyeing the same thing over and over. To a recipe. And weighing the dye! 🙊🙈🙉

Please! NO.
Most everything I do, is spontaneously dyed! I know the colors, I just mix and keep adding. I sometimes use dye recipes. They're photos with dye colors written on the photos.

The 💀 of creating is repetition.

😄 Just lil ol me, and Peaches the calico kitty dyeing all the things. Rambo-Merino is coming along well!
I have to curb myself from using more green dye. I am obsessed with greens suddenly 😅
I have also dyed some stunning blues. Deep saturated color, that won't mute out when spun up. How cool is that! I can't wait to test spin this fiber.

The robust durable wool is....28 micron, and superwash.🔮✨ Sorcery! I am having too much fun dyeing some unusual colors. 🎨🧪

3 evenings. Actual time, 3 hours to spin these. Handspun is not fast. It is incremental, hurry adds too much twist (twist?) In simple terms: Fast means tight string.

👵💜I am my Grandma's age now in these old photos (slide for pics). I sure miss her creative spirit. She quilted, sewed clothing and crocheted. All around take charge person, with a big social circle. She thrived organizing church social events. Fave memories are, the apple trees in her back yard. Their big orange cat, Rusty and chocolate frosting on graham crackers.
Also the quilt shop. Feeling the fabrics, and sitting quietly while she swam laps at the pool. 💛 Who taught you needle arts?
My Grandma Olga had the patience my Mother did not.

I sewed my skirt. Thanks to Olga, who taught me to sew on her Singer. Which I have today 😌
Rare pictures of me with my Grandma. One is a photocopy. I have poor luck, regarding photos. Each one, is a gem. I have few. These days, we have too many photos. In the 70's a roll of 36 film lasted you all year!

📸 I was snapping pictures for a new spinning vibe. Me on my garden, simple. I look so much like my Grandma.
