2 things:

1) Chuck D looks way more into having his photo made with me last week in New Orleans than he really needs to be. God bless. Public Enemy forever.

2) A thousand moons ago, I auditioned for Teach For America at Earlham College. Had to participate in fellow applicants’ skits (quasi lesson plans). One applicant had us recite hip-hop lyrics. I was first. “Bass, how low can you go?” I recited…BUT I said bass, as in the fish, not the note. Not sure if I didn’t receive a Teach For America assignment for my miscue, or b/c my own skit was so horrendous (it was), but I’m pretty certain I was never cut out to be a teacher. Good Lord. All hail teachers. by @attabeck
