“What need is there to weep over parts of life? The whole of it calls for tears.”

🐶 Goodbye, sweet Baxter. You were so easy to love. What a gift it was for you to be in our family. You made our home feel more alive, and we still can’t believe you’re gone.

🏡 Goodbye, magical little house in a little-known street with the friendliest neighbors and a one-of-a-kind park.

🌳 Goodbye, Columbus, Ohio, where we raised Alex and did so much growing up ourselves.

⛵️ Hello, Grosse Pointe, Michigan, where we can get to our grandkids in minutes instead of hours.
__________

“We cannot deeply love anything without becoming vulnerable to loss. And we cannot become separate people, responsible people, connected people, reflective people without some losing and leaving and letting go.”

Judith Viorst

This one popped up out of nowhere! #theblackswangroup Change was/is a very important album for me for a local band. I read an article in the dispatch by @attabeck about this album and it seemed like something I had to have but the only place you could get it was this tiny little coffee shop on Indianola called #yeahmetoo . It was my first awareness of this little strip we’ve been a part of for 14 years now, and I became friends with most of the people in the band and with the coffee shop owner. These were all individually painted, so no two are alike! They go for big bucks on the Dark Web, so you’re going to make out like a bandit if you score this copy! Open until 5 today, closed tomorrow! 16% off !
