The beautiful entryway to Villa Borsani and the study. The entryway was built using the same marble as the Duomo in Milan.

A glimpse of what I’ve been creating at @westlandlondonantiques : an imagined late 18th century study for Sir William Chambers, conceived during his work on Somerset House.

At the same time as recreating a Georgian interior, I wanted to capture the atmosphere of an architect at work offering candlelight, colour, furniture, drawings and objects, brought together with the character of a lived-in room.

My space combines pieces from @westlandlondonantiques extraordinary collection with a few objects of my own for good measure, alongside a bespoke scent inspired by the materials and mood of an 18th century architect’s study. A special thank you to the brilliant @philipclaycabinetry who very kindly helped bring the room’s architectural character to life by crafting the timber panelling, skirtings, cornice and door.

Huge thanks to @westlandlondonantiques for making this all possible, and to the wonderful designers involved @vsp_interiors @bulmer.ed @alienorcros @marco_mansi_ whose rooms, creativity and work have been an endless supply of inspiration. Brilliantly captured by @attear

An attempt to make the past feel present, and a full reveal coming soon, along with our @countrylifemagazine @giles.kime evening talk on 24th September.
