Surround yourself with people who wanna see you win, grow, and become better every single day. 🫶

Flew solo to Lisbon for @_houseofride 's Flow State with Alvin Moros, and honestly, one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself - to fill my cup as a rider, and to keep learning and growing as a coach.

So grateful for the people/coaches I met, the lessons I took home, and the reminder that there’s always more to learn. 🥹

“The whole course was really well organised, structured and on-time, and Alvin led the sessions really well with Harry and Felicia supporting throughout - from the practical guidance, notes and feedback, to even helping us with getting around Lisbon and places to check out.

The online pre-modules got me familiar with DJ.Studio at my own pace and gave me a good baseline before coming in, and we then went truly in-depth into mixing and the music science behind it.

I came in feeling quite nervous and worried that I wouldn’t be able to keep up, but after the workshop, I found myself having a much clearer headspace when building a mix - knowing what to do step-by-step, which transitions make sense musically, and what my intention is behind each mix.

i'm not good with words but what a joy & privilege to share the same space with these amazing coaches and learning about how to mix music, where we learnt the technical aspect of it & apply it in real time during class.

i flew solo to Lisbon to attend Flow State workshop with @alvinmoros , organised by @_houseofride @_harryfrench_ @feliesparis at @wearestudiorise and it's all worth it 🥹🫶

i learnt soo much over the past weekend, with the kindest and supporting coaches - where we bring back the joy in riding, practicing humility and providing safe space for everyone to learn, make mistakes and unleash our potentials.

FLOW STATE DAY 2 RECAP

Participants made their own mixes, learnt how to coach across the mix, and demo’d on the bike.

At our trainings, we consciously create a supportive and empowering environment where coaches of all levels, who teach all styles of rhythm cycling, are welcomed, seen, and uplifted. Participants also received feedback of their mixes and demos from Alvin, Felicia, and Harry.

A deeper look into the day:

- Uncovering the science of music
- Learning why some tracks blend well and why some don’t
- Fine tuning mixing skills on AI assisted music mixing software
- Learning how to coach across mixes where the BPM decreases or increases

special shoutout to Katrina, Aishies, Christine and the whole team CLUBALOHA for the warm welcome and made us feel at homee 🖤

personally, i had so much fun teaching spin again after some time and finally doing my own lights (which this is definitely a WIP hahahaa).

big love & THANK YOUUUU to my new/seasonal riders/friends who came thru and ride with me - i appreciate you guys so much 🥹🫶

for now i'll be taking a break to learn and unlearn about coaching and spinning - so that i can improve myself to become a better instructor.
