‘Meanwhile, a Swan Plummets to Earth, Transfixed’ is a group show of AUB Alumni who have returned to exhibit in a “graduate takeover” of TheBUG.

Taking place in TheBUG Gallery in South House from Friday 29th May to Wednesday 10th June, this exhibition brings together nine 2025 graduate artists.

The space will be filled with artwork that explores various forms of growth, return, limbo and the realities of life post-graduation.

The takeover will feature a diverse range of mediums from lino print, photography, repurposed fabric banners, hand-bound books and video work.

The exhibition will hold an opening on Friday 29th May from 1pm.

The Outtakes is a Fine Art exhibition that celebrates work in progress. Curated by Jaya Edwards, Madeline Iyengar and Roni Adan.

From the 5th of May - 19th of May in the @aubsuthebug space A025, @thegallery_aub.

We believe that it is important to acknowledge the merit and accomplishment of art at every stage of development, not just once it has reached a final conclusion.

This exhibition celebrates the journey of creating and de-centers the expectation of a resolved piece of art.
Being Third Years ourselves, we wanted to give First Years the chance to experience an open-call
outside of unit work without the pressure.

AUB International Collective Exhibition 2026

Last week, we proudly opened the AUB International Collective Exhibition 2026, welcoming a full house for a truly vibrant and inspiring evening.

Guests had the opportunity to meet and hear from our curators, Aditi and Amelia, and experience a powerful showcase of creativity from AUB’s international community.

Their heartfelt words deeply moved everyone present.

A special thank you to Mehjabeen Patrick, Chief Financial and Operating Officer at Arts University Bournemouth, for formally opening the exhibition and sharing reflections on both the exhibition and the journeys of international students at AUB.

We also heard from Violet McClean, TheGallery Curator, who spoke about how meaningful this exhibition is to her, particularly as both she and Will have international backgrounds.

Presented by TheGallery in collaboration with AUB Students’ Union (AUBSU), TheBUG, and AUB International, this exhibition celebrates the richness of cultural and religious diversity through student artwork.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the evening so special and congratulations to all our incredible international artists and students.

The AUB International Collective Exhibition 2026 highlights the creativity, diversity, and talent within AUB’s international student body.

Bringing together work from a wide range of disciplines, the exhibition offers a rich and inclusive perspective on contemporary practice, featuring current projects, past explorations, and newly created pieces.

All contributors are international students who have studied or are currently studying at AUB, reflecting the breadth of skills and specialisms within this dynamic community.
