POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Here are the 10 pictures from my show, all self portraits painted this year (last week mostly!) I wanted to get SOMETHING completed after a fruitless term 1 and I am always around when I need me to pose. My favorite is the oil pastel on cardboard- what’s yours? #portrait #selfie #watercolor #selfportrait #artsuniversitybournemouth

Meanwhile, a Swan Plummets to Earth, Transfixed

For this exhibition, I wanted to capture the need to hide identity at what was considered a peaceful protest in London.

I adored capturing these moments of passion, vulnerability and power, for a necessary cause and to highlight the imbalance between ethnic privileges.

This work is up alongside eight other fantastic artists, on until the 10th of June!

Not a hard drive. Not a highlight reel.

We are generating more personal content than ever, yet most of it lives in folders we never open, cloud storage we’ve forgotten the password to, or platforms that weren’t built to last.

The way we store our lives hasn’t kept up with the care we put into living them.

Ourchive is a response to that. A platform built for intentional digital preservation - developed within the context of fashion, visual culture and publishing.

Built to last. To restore your memory.

What a fabulous evening at our Trash to Treasure fashion show tonight celebrating creativity, sustainability and self-expression! ✨🌈

A special thank you to the talented students from Arts University Bournemouth, to Mimosa for hosting us, and to our wonderful models, volunteers and staff whose hard work and enthusiasm brought the show to life 💛

We’re also incredibly grateful to our charity partners Hall & Woodhouse The Quay for donating raffle prizes, and to Lea Martin and Mary Mullin for your fantastic support.

Every moment of support helps us continue providing care in our community 🌻

Over the past few months I have been working towards being a part of an exhibition with a group of wonderful artists that I graduated with last year.

In this exhibition I will be displaying a short video piece entitled ‘Not Welcome’(more details coming soon).

‘Meanwhile, a Swan Plummets to Earth, Transfixed’ is a group show of AUB Alumni who have returned to exhibit in a “graduate takeover” of TheBUG.

Taking place in TheBUG Gallery in South House on AUB campus from Friday 29th May to Wednesday 10th June, this exhibition brings together nine 2025 graduate artists.

The space will be filled with artwork that explores various forms of growth, return, limbo and the realities of life post-graduation.

The takeover will feature a diverse range of mediums from lino print, photography, repurposed fabric banners, hand-bound books and video work.

The exhibition will hold an opening on Friday 29th May from 1pm.

Arts University Bournemouth BA (Hons) Fashion and BA (Hons) Textiles Design students have reimagined donated fabrics into innovative garments and accessories, showcasing upcycling, conscious construction and the future of sustainable fashion.

The Outtakes is a Fine Art exhibition that celebrates work in progress. Curated by Jaya Edwards, Madeline Iyengar and Roni Adan.

From the 5th of May - 19th of May in the @aubsuthebug space A025, @thegallery_aub.

We believe that it is important to acknowledge the merit and accomplishment of art at every stage of development, not just once it has reached a final conclusion.

This exhibition celebrates the journey of creating and de-centers the expectation of a resolved piece of art.
Being Third Years ourselves, we wanted to give First Years the chance to experience an open-call
outside of unit work without the pressure.

Check it out from the 5th of May!!
