Proudly stood in the corner of the OR for the first time as a medical student🤓🥹

This was a really big moment of realisation that I made the right decision attending school in the Caribbean and a sigh of relief knowing I made it through basic medical sciences without any setbacks. The experiences I’ve had here are incomparable to anywhere else in the world and I’m so fortunate to call this beautiful island my home for almost 2 years. I’m grateful that AUC gave me this opportunity to pursue my medical career and reminding me there is more to life than prestige or shiny new stuff. Living on the island means being resourceful (both inside and out of the hospital or classroom), taking initiative, and appreciating the little things. It’s not what you have, but what you do with what you’ve got that matters🫶🏼🫶🏼

I wish I got to spend more time in the hospital and even more time on the island but I know I’ll be back🩵🏝️🥹
