I couldn’t get through my speech when I practiced it, my voice kept cracking. I was so intensely reminded of you. When I stood on the podium, it fell very quiet. The words flowed, steadily. We felt you in every moment, maman. @ings13 embodied your absolute radiance, her mannerisms akin to yours, stunning and beaming with joy. What an honor to celebrate in dresses that were both an homage to you and also to Lebanese traditional beading by your dear friend @reemacrawedding @reemacra . A magical weekend to celebrate a magical love @jeffdowne. Feeling blessed for my family and friends and my dear sister. On May 29 at 6pm, @instituteaia invites you to join us in a discussion with art historian and @msubroad assistant curator @rachelelisewinter and @mrathani, Director and Curator of IAIA, moderated by @audreejanid, Director of Special Projects at James Cohan Gallery.

The event—held in conjunction with Endless Night, Nabil Kanso’s first institutional solo exhibition in New York—will feature an introduction to Kanso’s life, tracing his journey across Lebanon and the Americas. The discussion will draw on Kanso’s artistic practice and his style in parallel to his contemporaries in America and across the globe.

Happy to support @nyfacurrent a vital organization that serves so many artists and arts workers alike. My piece “Cascade”, 2023 will be featured in their upcoming benefit auction. This painting is part of a new series of floral motifs rendered in acrylic gouache on canvas, some are observations and others are fragments of my photos. Honored to have co-curated this project with the wonderful @gabriela_rangel_m a mentor and now a dear friend. Only two weeks left to see “Tecla Tofano: This Body of Mine” Tecla was an artist who was fearlessly herself. The accompanying publication was a collective endeavor, now available for pre-order 😌. Special thanks to Luis Felipe Farias for entrusting me @carolinaarnal for her beautiful design and @tbradway for keeping us on track.
