I am beyond blessed and excited to continue my academic and softball career as a Redhawk | Class of 2031! 🥎

To my Mom and Dad, thank you will never be enough. Thank you for every early morning, long drive, sacrifice, and for believing in me even when I doubted myself. This dream is just as much yours as it is mine. ❤️

To my coaches, teammates, and all the college softball girls who have supported me throughout this journey, thank you for believing in me, encouraging me, answering my questions, and helping me see that this dream was possible. I will forever be grateful for each of you.

To the La Roche coaching staff, thank you for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to continue doing what I love. From the moment I stepped on campus, I knew I could see myself there. I cannot wait to become a Redhawk! ❤️🖤

Most importantly, all glory to God. 🙏🏻 He guided me through every closed door, every challenge, every prayer, and every step that brought me here. I may not have understood His timing, but I trusted His plan — and now I can see He was leading me exactly where I was meant to be.

Going out with a hamstring injury with a whole leg immobilizer and crutches last year was devastating and I remember telling myself that I would never be able to pick myself up back where I was when I left and I honestly thought about quitting the sport. When an injury happens it can take a really big toll on you and what you love doing and that’s what happened to me and honestly i’m glad i made this cause it’s a little motivation to keep going whatever may happen you will come back stronger than ever and yes, you might have to start back all at day 1 from when you started but you will come back stronger than ever and your glad you worked hard to get back also find you people who will tell you to keep going even though you have told them your gonna quit and there is so point in starting again! The people who I found to talk me through this injury are now my closest friends and they are the people who I look up to when things get tough!!! by @audreykirk0127

April 19 — the day everything changed. Coming up for a high pitch in Twinsburg, I heard a pop in my knee. Most people who know me know I’ll play until I physically can’t stand. That’s exactly what I did.

At first, I pushed through — thanks to trainers, tape, heat, and pure willpower. But the discomfort didn’t go away. A trip to Akron Children’s confirmed it: kneecap subluxation and hamstring tendinitis. Brace up, play through it, unless pain hit a 5.

A week later, it did. Another checkup at UA Sports Med revealed severe muscle damage. I was out for 4–6 weeks, strapped into an immobilizer, crutches, and PT twice a week. Right before club season… just heartbreaking.

But I worked. I healed. PT started slow, but after a few weeks, the crutches were gone, the immobilizer came off, and I was cleared to bat again — just in time for one of my favorite tournaments. Eventually, I worked my way back into the outfield… and finally, behind the plate — where I belong.

My last season game in Medina was the first time I caught again. Yesterday was my final PT appointment. One last follow-up to go.

I’m beyond excited to announce that I’ll be taking my FIRST OFFICIAL COLLEGE VISIT to La Roche University on October 2nd! 🐻🥎❤️🖤

This is a huge step in my softball journey, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to experience the campus, meet the coaches and players, and get a closer look at what could be the next chapter of my journey.

I recently got drone footage of my batting, and honestly… it showed me things I never knew I needed to see!

The analysis broke down every small detail of my swing and gave me results that I never would have noticed on my own. Even better, I received a 4-week breakdown showing me exactly what I need to work on and how I can improve each part of my swing.

But it doesn’t stop there…

My swing was also compared to some of the best hitters in the game, including Jocelyn Alo, Tiare Jennings, and Sierra Romero, giving me a better understanding of what elite-level swings look like and what I can work toward.

This has given me a completely different perspective on my hitting and a clear plan to improve!

If you’re serious about becoming a better hitter, seeing your swing from this perspective is something you NEED!

At the beginning of the fall ball season I was introduced to a new position other that catcher which I have played for my entire career! I was introduced to not only 2nd but as well as shortstop and when it came to learning that new position it took at lot of time to get used to it, a lot of extra work, a lot of watching videos, but at the end I learned that I can play that position no matter what and I honestly I would’ve not been able to play it if it wasn’t for those people who believed in me every single day and every minute of my softball career! I thank all of the people who have taught me new positions! by @audreykirk0127
