a very belated little love letter to our first year of marriage better late than never, right? newborn life has made time feel wonderfully blurry.

How has it been one year since our barefoot wedding?! I remember being surrounded by so much love & pure JOY!!!! & that joy has followed us through all of this first beautiful year. Blessed doesn’t even begin to describe it!!!!

marriage is the best. truly. and it keeps getting better. you’re my honey, my best friend, my adventure partner, and the person i want next to me for all of it. now we get to do this whole parenting thing together too, which is equal parts beautiful, silly, exhausting and completely wild.

i’m just really grateful. grateful for you. grateful for this little life & family we’re building. grateful that God knew exactly who i needed beside me. I pray Selah & all the babies to come would be blessed by our union!
one year married and i somehow love you more than i did on our wedding day. Jesus is kind.

journey retreat + baby moon in one?? yes please!!!

One last getaway to Barbados before our little girl arrives & it was truly magical. The sweetest reminder that our souls need tending too 🤍

@compassionpllc took us away from the noise of everyday life & it was an intentional invitation to check on the state of our souls. We were led beautifully through intentional curriculum design for holistic healing that goes beyond the 4 days of the actual retreat in hopes that when returning back home- we have curated healthier patterns of soul care & intentional rhythms of life… and we have experienced just that!

Keeping my lil birthday tradition

this year it looked like a quiet lake at youth camp before everyone woke up, watching the sunrise with my honey by the lake while our favorite girl tagged along from the coziest seat in the world.

It’s true you haven’t yet held our daughter in your arms, but you’ve held her so gently from the very beginning. In every prayer, every conversation, every little moment of preparing for her arrival- she has already been deeply loved by you.

Watching you become her dad has been one of my favorite parts of this season.
can’t wait to watch you hold the little girl you’ve been loving all along.

It’s a girl! 🩰🌷🌸⭐️

a name we’ve been holding close for a while now & that we chose because of its meaningful place in scripture — “pause & reflect”, taking in Gods goodness.

and she’s teaching us just that in this
in-between season- slowing our days, softening our hearts, & reminding us to notice all the quiet goodness God has been giving us in this season

(Now over) Half way till meeting our little love, and I’ve already been changed in the best ways 🕊️

- Dependency is not weakness, it’s actually my design
- slowing down isn’t laziness, it’s my obedience in this season
- My body is not mine right now & learning to honor that has been humbling
- Marriage looks beautifully different when you’re building something together that you can’t see but dream about daily
- My prayers recently have become more simple, but somehow more honest & bold
