A few of the dresses I patterned for the recent HONOR NYC bridal collection. One of the dresses was also included in WWD’s bridal edition previewing this past season’s proposals. by @augustbent_design

@fforme Crushed Velvet Dresses, hoop dress, and hoop skirt process photos

I had a lot of ffun developing this collection! I ffelt more like a sculpture than a pattern maker when draping/molding the “crushed velvet” gowns. I also really enjoyed creating 1-piece pattern garments in the hoop dress and skirt (excluding pockets, bias binding). 1-piece garments are often as complicated as they are simple and require immense precision. The slightest miscalculation can have drastic consequences. by @augustbent_design

It was a relatively light NY fashion week for me. I spent the majority of the season working on production patterns for the previous @honornyc season and other random projects (more to come on that soon). That being said, I am very pleased with the pieces I patterned for @fforme and @ullajohnson! I particularly like fforme’s simple, yet interesting designs by @augustbent_design

A quick look back at some of the pieces I helped with for the 2025 Met Gala. Unfortunately, the look that I was most responsible for making - Anne Hathaway’s after party dress by Carolina Herrera - wasn’t worn (maybe because the crystal embroidery made it weight ~40 lbs?). Regardless, it was still a great experience! Also, peep Laura sewing 100 mini bows and ties for Chimamanda’s dress by @augustbent_design
