The desert doesn’t care who you were or what you want to be. But it does ask what you are in this moment; and I’ll be damned if I’m anything but present.
In the mood to underthink, and figure it out with simplicity. Pick up the spear, throw it and then go towards it✨

Hi my name is August Danger Raskie and in this life I will do everything I said I would. As I travel, I create and as I create, I travel. Running on joy and feeling every emotion the human condition brings out ☀️

My process?

It’s you guys. Most of what I paint or draw has its own source material rooted in experience. Lots of traveling, lots of giggles and love of being present to witness all the wonderful things around me.

And then I take it all back to the studio and ruminate! Hehe

What’s one thing about your process you love?

PQ’s first art showing :)

The first of many.

|| the entire car ride over here I called my mom and kept begging her to tell me if my art was good, like be so for real mom is. It. good. ??
And who’s to say if it is or isn’t? But guess what, I have 2 pieces in shows rn and that feels pretty good to me. Objectively, my art is not where I want it to be. Subjectively, there’s a piece of my soul on display for strangers to dissect. Niiiceeee. Make art, don’t make art, noodle, don’t noodle, but at the end of the day, the days gonna end… so why not do the things that scare you because guess what, that vulnerability is exactly what we need nowadays. So create, make bad art and tell the world a story with it. ||
