MEET OUR 14s COACHES ⏭️⏭️⏭️ MEET COACH AUGUST RASKIE 🌊🏐 We’re excited to have August Raskie leading Surfside 14 Elite this season, bringing an exceptional level of collegiate and professional playing experience along with a passion for developing young athletes. August played for Colorado Juniors and Front Range Volleyball Club before continuing her career at the University of Oregon, where she became an AVCA Third-Team All-American and All-Pac-12 selection. As a senior setter for the Ducks, August ranked 6th in the nation with 11.79 assists per set and finished her Oregon career 5th all-time with 2,929 assists. She also became one of only four players in Oregon history to record multiple career triple-doubles. Following college, August competed professionally at some of the highest levels of the sport, playing two seasons in France’s A1 league, two seasons in Italy’s A1 league, and three seasons in Major League Volleyball. Her professional accolades include French Cup MVP and Global World Challenge MVP. August has also spent several years developing young athletes through Vibe Volleyball Lab and coaching at the high school and club levels. That combination of All-American collegiate experience, professional volleyball, and hands-on athlete development makes August an incredible fit for 14 Elite. She knows what high-level volleyball looks like and understands how to help young players develop the skills, habits, confidence, and mindset required to work toward it. For August, coaching is about giving back to the sport that gave her so much. We can’t wait to see the impact Coach August makes with Surfside 14 Elite this season! 💙🌊 MEET HEAD COACH TOMMY CHAFFINS 🌊🏐 We’re excited to have Tommy Chaffins leading Surfside 14 Legends this season, bringing more than three decades of coaching experience and one of the most accomplished coaching résumés in the South Bay. A Redondo Union High School and Loyola Marymount University graduate, Tommy has spent his career developing athletes at the high school, club, and collegiate levels. Tommy spent 13 seasons leading the Redondo Union Boys Volleyball program and has had a remarkable run with the Redondo Unio

🚨 Welcome to Mana Management, August Raskie! 🚨 Seven years of professional volleyball, a fearless pivot into beach volleyball while rock climbing on the side, and a growing body of work as a visual artist across painting and film— August brings the same discipline to the sand that she brings to the canvas. Travel fuels her art. Movement fuels her game. She's always chasing the next place, the next piece, the next climb — and we're thrilled to be part of the journey. Welcome to the family August 🤍
