Support the short film Trans Panic!

The Trans Panic short will be an intimate portrait of Nancy and Gordene - 2 extraordinary elder trans activists who fell for each other in 1990’s Boston, where they rallied against transphobia and helped organise the very first Transgender Day of Remembrance. This film is now funded as a short but still needs more to be feature length! Kickstarter link in bio.

Trans Relics is a series inspired by prehistoric Venus figurines and Roman reliefs. The pieces are an exclamation that trans bodies have always existed and will always exist. I wanted to recreate the history that was erased. I imagined these were tablet pulled from an archeological dig, remnants of a time when trans people were exalted instead of executed. Trans Relics were first created in clay to create the figures and then cast in glass. These pieces are therapy for me, they guide me through my body dysmorphia, helping me find joy in the fact that trans bodies are beautifully varied. The show is up until May 24th!

On February 8, 2026 my Moma took her last breath. I have a distinct childhood memory of her clipping flowers from a wall of flowers along a parking lot on State Street with a pair of small scissors attached to her keys. She would always give me a flower the way my father would clip and give her a flower. She loves me with all of her being and I feel it. I love her with all of my being as well and I hope she feels it. She's my muse, my friend, my confidant. For the past 10 years she cared for me as I cared for her. Oh Moma, my dear Moma, what do I do now? This is all too much.

Both my parents taught me about love and how to care for those even when times were tough. They taught me how to be patient and kind and understanding. I will always and forever be grateful for the beautiful life and love they shared with me. Yesterday was their wedding anniversary and I am so sad they are gone, but I'm happy that they are together again. ❤️

I am also grateful for the love and care people have extended to my brother and I. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all ❤️ by @aullarmateo
