Aunt Acid is a dancer turned DJ living near the late, legendary, Club Zanzibar. Aunt Acid’s Acid’s Camp mix weaves a love letter to queer campout festivals:

Creating new friendships. Fleeting romances. Hugs and cheek kisses. Bright smiles. Infectious fits of giggles. Skinny dipping. Twisting squelches. Gratuitous diva anthem blends. Camp. Camping. Campy. Sleepless nights. Sleeping through an entire night’s programming. Jolting awake to Running up that Hill. Stealing a garden truck to drive an injured friend up that hill. Prancing. Holding a tarp over the decks during a flash rain. Beer on ice. Shake-n-go wigs. Glitter. Colored fires. Skimpy outfits. Tits out. Ass out. Making out. Jockstraps. Boots. Dancing in the mud. Chocolate ❤️💛💜 Yurt NASA visuals. Shared tents. Cold weather snuggling. Fog over the pool. Shared outdoor showers. Morning Jane Fonda exercise routines. Gluttonous indulging. Sharing furs with Burners. Radiant colors and new shapes. Hand geometry. Spilled drinks. Born again Easter Morning. by @aunt_acid

🏝☀️NEW MIX ALERT☀️🏝
My dear friend Rob (@sometimesclouds) asked me to contribute a mix for his @alwaysneveryesterday series. I made an ode to Riis Beach, New York’s LGBTQ beach. It’s one of my favorite places: a congregation of all genders, ethnicities, sexualities, body types. The hour nods to the different feelings of a Riis trip, making new friends, getting dazed in the sun, drifting in the ocean, taking a hiatus from the chaos of the city. Enjoy 🥰💫 taken in Jacob Riis Beach - A Community Beach For Queer, Trans and People of Color by @aunt_acid

Yes yes y’all back again on Particle.FM and for our featured guest we’ve got our good judy Aunt Acid on Daydreams this month! A long time dancer who’s love for dance music came from hearing the likes of the Prodigy or the iconic Jock Jams series of mix CDs. Aunt Acid started throwing parties & DJing in NYC in 2019 with a heavy emphasis on the 80s & 90s era of underground dance music. We came to know him during the pandemic era of deejay Twitter, frequently exchanging UK rave or 90s house tracks back & forth. We’re super excited for y’all to hear his mix, one he describes as a freestyle & hip-house filled love letter to his home in Newark, NJ; one for the breakers, whackers, early ravers & those who blast the speakers out of their cars.

Catch Aunt Acid’s guest mix kicking off the first half of the show tonight at 8pm ET (5pm PT). Daydreams residents close out the show with early house, freestyle, east coast clubs sounds and of course breakbeats galore. by @aunt_acid

@aunt_acid is a Newark, NJ-based DJ bringing high-energy, bass-driven, and genre-blurring heat to the dance floor. Influenced by 90s icons like The Prodigy and shaped in NYC’s queer nightlife, Aunt Acid fuses breaks, techno, dubstep, and rave chaos into unapologetically bold sets.

Cookie Mix #091 is sweaty, sassy, and made for the late-night lovers, bassline baddies, and dance-floor dolls. 💋

I’m a bit late sharing, but I made a sassy house mix for @deepsouthatl, shoutout longtime pal @vickipowell — someone I really admire and respect
Give it a listen for an hour of garage house, pianos, some acid, trance and oldskool rave 🥰💓
